Looks good, writes bold thick lines
My first review was that the pen wrote awful - gave it 2 stars. Ideapool reached out to me to say they thought it was a defective refill and sent me a new refill. They were right, and it writes great! Thanks to Ideapool for making the situation right at their expense. Great customer service! Some people don't like the heaviness, but I do, and have gotten a lot of compliments on the pen. Would definitely buy again.

Few more dollars have better ink and box -
I bought two pen, one with the Bamboo box and this one, same pen different ink cartridge.Right off the box, ink does not flow well, leave scratch marks on paper. Probably just the stainless steel ink cartridge, no better on the second refill.Just few more dollars, got the bamboo box and better writing ink and tip.Both pen smear pretty bad on paper

Great for the price
Nice pen for the price. Weighted okay unless the cap is on the end, then it is too heavy, but it does not smudge in my new journal.

No head turning wit dis one
Kind of an ugly pen. The wood looks cheap as well as the gold finish. Writes okay but you prob won't impress nobody with this pen

Lovely pen!
Bought this pen as a gift for my father. His favorite cheapo pen had lost its battle in the clothes washer.This pen is a beautiful light wood, and comes with a replacement ink cartridge. Writes smooth, too. My dad loves it, too. ;)

Beautiful but heavy and unbalanced
What a disappointment! This is a beautiful-looking pen, but the top piece is SO heavy that the pen becomes totally unbalanced and top-heavy when you try to write with it. If you leave the top off, it feels too short and light to write with - either way, you lose. I bought a similar bamboo fountain pen, and the top, which is virtually the same size and looks the same, weighs about half as much, so the pen is balanced when you're writing. I don't know what they did, but they need to lighten the top piece a great deal to make this a quality product.

Not Balanced Properly - top heavy
Beautiful pen - must be made in China.Because when you remove cap to write & put cap on the other end. Its not balanced properly. Not a comfortable to wrte with. Top heavy Iam a writer and pen balance is important. Iam giving away as gifts...too bad. They were not made properly.
