This was purchased for a child who had received a little playhouse and wanted a garden to go with it! Ideal and easy to use and something for parents and kids to do together. Nicely packed and easy to wrap and gift. A little on the pricey side for what it is but saved me the bother of shopping around and creating my own version so was it really overpriced, maybe not.

I ordered the pack of 4 and it doesn't come with the little pots to plant anything in and the instructions are minimal. For example, the instructions tell you to place the compost disc in the (non existent) pot and add warm water but there's no indication of how much warm water to add. Given that this is for kids, this seems a bit of a miss.

My son was obsessed with watering plants and watching to see how big they got, this was a great wee set and has since managed to harvest some peas and beans, the sunflower is still going strong also, the cress was long gone and tasty. The discs were mess free, he managed it fine by himself (age 5), the pride in his plants is his own!

I ordered a similar gift for my son directly from the company and it was lovely & thoroughly enjoyed! So I ordered a similar one via amazon as a last minute gift for my friends son. Such a lovely gift for any little ones keen on gardening. Everything you need is in the set.
