LINUX: Easy Linux For Beginners, Your Step-By-Step Guide To Learning The Linux Operating System And Command Line (Linux Series Book 1)

A good introduction
This book is very to the point and I like that. It doesn't really go into detail about what each technical term means or the processes behind them, but that kind of detail can confuse beginners. After reading this book I at least know of the terms and what they are meant to do. I would say you need some basic knowledge of electronics, like the different name and function of computer parts, in order to understand the book. Other than that this book is great if you are getting tired of the big 3 tech companies' relentless add on's and want to try something new.

Amazing Book!!!!
It is a great book of learning LINUX. The desktop is a different breed than a server and after many attempts of trying to get people to use it throughout the years you realize it's just not worth the effort. It's not that's it's too complicated, it's that there's too many variables and inevitably they try to install a piece of hardware, or just to get a piece of software, that's not compatible. Linux would do well in a controlled environment though (like an office) where there's IT guys who can plan around it. The author describes all the things very clearly. The author has tried point out A to Z of Linux. I have read this book and I got the information of Linux. I want this book will read everyone for learning Linux.

This book isn't really about Linux Per Se.
The book goes into a few basic commands. However, this book for the first half of it shows you how to install Linux and what to do after post installation. Moreover, this book does give you a table of essential commands like Man, Dd, and Alias along with a brief but informative description of what the command does. Overall this book could have used alot more content than what was presented.

Great introductory material! Easy to read! Easy to comprehend!
I have some experience with Linux through work. We had a very rush course that consisted of a handful of commands that we might find "useful". Suffice it to say that I wanted to improve upon this foundation. Felix breaks it down to an easy to understand level. I now feel confident enough to install Linux on a spare computer that I have at home, so I can play with it. He goes into scripting enough that I will be easily able to accomplish the things I need to do at work. The book is an easy read and I recommend it to anyone who is thrown suddenly into a Linux environment.

All essential topics had been discussed well
Linux had been explained by comparing with other Operating system just like Windows to emphasize the features and other functions it can do.Felix Alvaro discussed the step-by-step procedures in using this software as an Operating System and in a Command Line, that brings together a computer’s hardware and different programs that we can install. He explained well with pictures of diagram and tables or screenshots that helps the learner familiarize and easy to understand the usage of Linux specially designed for beginners as guide . All essential topics about Linux had been demonstrated by Felix to even master using it. Just need to practice and practice using those commands.

Not made for ebook
I used linux in the way back, giving it up because... well, who's got the time. Am I right? When tasks are as simple as a mouse-click away, or I can bring up a cmd window and .. anyway, I digress. This is the most rudimentary of books, barely covering the basics, and even though it's been 13 years for me, there was nothing new. A new job behooves me to freshen up my linux, this was absolutely helpless. And as a kindle book, the lessons and drawings, the only part that could have redeemed it, show up as grey bars (illegible). It reads as though this author has used one version of linux, limited, and perhaps seen or heard of others, or is intentionally vague for some reason. Just my opinion.

Very good introduction to Linux
Great overview. It provides just the right amount of information to help you understand Linux as a beginner. Easy to understand. I loved the links he provided within the text to help you dive deeper into the subject. I recommend to anyone wanting to know the Linux basics.

Fair
I bought this manual after having tried over 20 different Linux distros. I wanted to learn more about Linux, especially the file system. This book really isn’t for a true beginner who knows absolutely nothing about Linux. It’s more geared to an intermediate user.

Excellent starter
This is a excellent book for the beginner,it introduces the Linux computer system in a easy to understand (common language) .This book touches all the topics but doesn't bog the reader down with to much information ,it explains that the topics exist and gives a brief explanation so the reader can research the topics of interest at a later date.

Bof...
