So useful for travel!
I came across these when I was researching potential containers for travelling with toiletries and makeup. Finding shampoo and lotion bottles is easy, but finding something that holds just enough liquid foundation for a single day that you can then just toss out is harder. It’s harder firstly because of the size of container needed (basically – tiny), and secondly because of the cost per container (and at around two cents each these are way cheaper than any toiletry bottle or jar I’ve seen). I also wanted something that wouldn’t leak if taken in my hand luggage on a plane. Happy to say these don’t! I’ve used them on two flights, one for five hours and one for seven, and not a single drop escaped. So, how do I use them? I mainly use them for single-use liquid cosmetics on overnight/2-night trips where the weight and size of my luggage is important to me. Products like foundation, liquid highlighter, primer etc., but also for lotions and creams like moisturizer and serum. I have tried in the past to get pre-packaged samples of my favourite foundation from stores like Sephora and Ulta but unfortunately my skin tone is paper-white (like, vampires would be jealous) and manufactures tend not to produce sample sizes in either the paler or darker extremes.Getting the product in the tube can be a little tricky depending on the type of container you’re transferring from, and how runny or thick the product actually is. If the original container has a larger opening I use a small plastic funnel or pipette/syringe – you can pick those up really cheaply on Amazon or that auction site that begins with ‘e’ :). The only issue I have is for really thick products that you can’t use a pipette for. Haven’t figured out how to get them in to such a small tube. The one thing you need to keep in mind is not to fill it to the very top. The lid actually goes inside the tube to create a seal so if there’s no room for it, it will force product out through the top.Removing the contents of the tube also depends on the consistency of the product – obviously runnier liquids are fine, but if it’s a bit thicker (e.g. liquid foundation) I find using a disposable lip gloss brush applicator (again, really cheaply purchase in bulk from Amazon) works really well in getting down to all the product in the tube. Note that they’re made from a hard plastic so they’re not squeezable.Basically, given how cheap these are I am perfectly happy to use once then toss out, and these work wonderfully. I also find they’re smaller and a lot less messy than filling mylar bags and sealing with heat which I used to do to create single-use toiletry and cosmetic supplies.

They are fine
They are exactly what I ordered. But don't fit my need. So lost a star for not fitting my need.Would be nice if you did not need to buy 500+ of them. So now I have a lot of them that I don't really need. They do snap closed and can be open without difficulty. A good prodcut if this is what you need.

500 is quite a lot!
Excellent for organizing SMT components (resistors, capacitors, chips). Won't fit the larger SSOP and TSSOP packages, though. With these I was able to reduce my parts storage from an entire cabinet to a single drawer. Amazing! Now I have an entire another drawer free to store the remaining 350 of these tubes I won't find use anytime soon. =)But I guess in America you always buy in excess, right?
