There is one gate. Those are the dimensions of the box the gate opening actually measures 26 5/8" total with the uprights 32 5/8, and is 4' tall.

If i purchase the gate and the fence, what else exactly is necessary to set the pool safety fence up so that it is very sturdy and impenetrable?

If you are installing the fence in a cement decking I highly recommend the Pool fence Drill guide and a good Hammer Drill ( I bought a Bosch Bulldog 11255) but you can rent one too. I had to mark and drill 75 holes and did it in a little over a day about 10-12 hours. The fence came out great and I've had a lot of compliments.

Can this gate be key locked?
