Update on my first review. Finally used these. What a joke these are. Tried them on 3/4 soft pine. I don't think they would drill hot butter. Dull as dull can be. Finally gave up and used a drill bit. These are worthless. Waste of my money. Do not buy this set.

For my woodshed I've gone through Forstner bits more than once. This set looks good after initial cuts and seems to hold shape and sharpness well. I expect these to last a little longer than the prior ones.

Cuts clean and accurate in soft wood. Pragmatic build, but seems well made for the price.These bits can create correctly sized holes for their own bit storage rack.

I received the 8 piece forstner bit set today and as one reviewer said, you get what you pay for. The bits are metric and come only roughly finished. Looks like they were ground on a 60 grit grinder and not even sharpened. The teeth and cutting edges are dull and don't cut without using extreme force. I will probably rleturn them but will try sharpening one first. GARBAGE!

Arrived quickly and in great condition. However, you get what you pay for. Drill bits are not sharp at all. I used one to drill out the center of a wood blank on my lathe. Let’s just say there were lots of smoke from the friction burns on my piece.
