Just too different from either inline or traditional skates.
I really, really, wanted to enjoy these, but they are just too different from either traditional or inline skates to be enjoyable. One of the main reasons for the one star, is the price point in conjunction with the no return policy. I do see their point. Once worn, they reasonably can not be resold as new, but the cost to enjoyment fact just isn't there, in my opinion. Some of the issues I've had (I am most use to and comfortable in traditional skates)- I love to do toe in/toe out motions for movement. It is very awkward to do that in these. You can do it, but you have to be very careful. If the wheels touch, you will almost certainly go down. And since the wheels are on the outside of the shoe, rather than under like traditional and inline skates, it is very easy for them to touch. In fact, you have to maintain a slightly (but noticeably) wider stance than you would in any other skates for the same reason.- I found turning to be much more cumbersome than traditional or inline skates. Due to the wider wheel base, leaning into a turn does not yield as much turning motion as I was typically use to. Again, you have to be very careful to maintain foot spacing, so the wheels do not touch. I have not yet figured out how to do cross over turns (cross one foot over the other to make tighter turns at higher speeds), again, due to the size of the wheel base and the ever present specter of the wheels touching. It is really quite terrifying.- With traditional skates, if I come upon a bunch of gravel or particularly rough section of pavement, I can toe up on my bumpers, and off my wheels, and walk past that section, and skate on. There is no chance of that here. Honestly, I'm not yet sure how I'm going to navigate this situation with these.I think I have really good balance and I can't remember the last time I've fallen on skates, roller blades, Ice skates, skate board, you name it. Despite using these all weekend long, turning, pushing off and just simply cruising are still very awkward. If I eventually get use to them, I will come back and update my post, but for now I deeply regret the $150 I spent on them. I am sorry to the folks at Skorpion Sports for this review. Again, I really did want to like them, but I just don't at this point.

Great skates for exerciise, fun and commuting to work or shopping
These skates are very comfortable for long distance skating. I use them for exercise and recreation. It is pleasant to coast while just standing up with out having to balance my ankles over a blade.Learning to stop using the rear mounted brake is difficult and not efficent, It would be nice if the could be redesigned with the brakes on the front like regular roller derby skates.
