Worked perfectly in my Tesla!
I recently installed the HardTap HT-1096 Hard Wire Kit in my Tesla Model Y, and it has been a game-changer for my radar detector setup. With the sleek and minimalist interior of the Model Y, I wanted a clean and integrated solution for powering my radar detector, and the HT-1096 delivered exactly that. The 8-foot long cord allowed me to discreetly route the power from my vehicle's electrical system to the radar detector without any messy wires cluttering my dashboard. The inline fuse provided an added layer of safety, which is crucial when dealing with electronics in a high-tech vehicle like the Model Y. The RJ11 connector fit seamlessly with my radar detector, ensuring a stable and reliable connection. This installation has not only improved the aesthetics of my car's interior but also enhanced the overall driving experience by eliminating distractions. If you're a Tesla Model Y owner looking to hardwire your radar detector, the HardTap HT-1096 is the perfect choice for a clean and hassle-free solution.

Easy to use - good value
Purchased to hardware a Valentine V1-Gen 2 radar detector in 2021 Honda Insight. Cable easily ran under edge of headliner, then I removed the A-pillar trim to safely run away from side curtain airbag then fished alongside existing wiring harness into the behind the dash area to reach the interior fuse box.I did remove the hot wire connector stripping the wire to connect to the compression connector of the add a fuse connector (purchased separately) to connect into the fuse panel. The ground wire connected via a nut and bolt onto a hole in a metal portion of the under dash structure that was a confirmed ground point. The wire seems to be high quality with the exposed portion having a small weaved type covering rather than the telephone cable style flat wire. Comes with a 2amp push in fuse - which does create a "bump" in the wire if having to fish the wire through a small space, so plan accordingly on which direction you need to run the wire.

Well built
Used this to hardwire my Uniden R7 and it worked perfectly. Cord is well built and not cheap. However, I would say these were a bit overpriced for my liking.

Amazing for Tesla Model Y
Very easy to install on a Tesla model y 2023! I used a Posi tap instead of a T-tap as I was worried about damaging the cars wiring. The wire I tapped into was a dark red wire located on the front passenger side. Radar detector turns on when I hit the break and turns off when I get out of the car. Would definitely recommend!

Good Quality
Good quality, but for the price it had better be!Most of the cable is flat, and easy to tuck behind the trim. The end piece that plugs into the RD is very nice, and should hold up over time.I used this kit with an Add-a-Circuit to attach my RD to the fuse box.I would recommend this to anyone.I would buy this again.

Easy to Install
Installed in my 2023 Tesla Model 3. I was able to find a 12v switch wire behind the passenger side kick panel. I ran the wire in the headliner which pops up with a slight tug and then down the passenger pillar avoiding the airbag. Then it drops down into the kick panel and was easy to tap into the wire thanks to the T tap wire connector that is included. Now the radar detector comes on when I start the car by pressing the break and turns off when I walk away. This kept the already minimalist interior from being cluttered with a wire. There is very little wire showing and it isn’t very noticeable.I would caution people to not attempt to pop off the mirror housing to run the wire through there. I did so and ended up having to have a tech come out to get the housing back on.
