Perfect Miniature PC Device for a Software Developer's Home Office
With the push to work from home, I needed to find a PC that had a small form factor, but could accommodate the performance demands from simultaneous large scale IDEs, virtual environments, and device emulation. After looking into Intel NUCs and other mini PC products, it turns out that the Sei8 was the perfect choice for me. After putting everything together, the only thing I needed to accommodate was an additional USB hub since 4 just isn't quite enough in some rare situations. But as a home office product, this is the ideal, space saving, (relatively) high performance, miniature PC. It also does a great job with cloud gaming (via Stadia) and although it's not the ultimate gaming PC since it lacks a dedicated GPU, my Sei8 handled Steam games with a nearly perfect framerate. I had no issues streaming to Twitch using a USB webcam, my Xbox via a USB capture card, and a mic/headset combination, but here is where I needed to use a USB hub in order to accommodate all of the necessary peripherals. You would think that my amazing experience with this Sei8 device is what motivated me to write a review, however, the post-purchase technical support from "Yimi-Tech" was the motivating factor. After I set up my Sei8 in my office, I had an issue using the integrated SD card and accessing the BIOS so I messaged the seller of the device, and not only did I get a clear and rapid response to my questions, they went as far as to include images and instructions to make sure I was using everything correctly. Most sellers don't even go as far as to link user manuals, let alone provide individualized instructions to clearly represent how to address any issues. Not only is the Beelink Sei8 the perfect home office solution, the seller ("Yimi-Tech") was the ultimate supportive technician. Don't be influenced by others thinking that "bigger is better and necessary", especially since this device is not only small, but also economical. This miniature PC device is as quiet as a mouse and can handle the performance necessary from most any home office and software development demands (however, I did not test CAD and 3D modeling, yet). It can also handle most modern PC gaming and streaming needs, but *may* require the use of a USB hub to accommodate the quantity of peripherals.I sincerely recommend the Beelink Sei8 and newer device with at least the i5 chip, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. With a price point of around $500, large tower PCs cannot compete with this device, especially for a home office solution.

This is An Amazing Little (and I Do Mean LITTLE) Computer!
I am a non-technical kind of person, with just enough knowledge about computers to be thoroughly dangerous. This computer had the features I was looking for (16gb RAM, 512gb storage, Windows Pro preinstalled). Being someone who doesn't buy computers all the time, I wanted to get some other opinions, so my IT guy at work looked at it and thought it was excellent for my home use needs. I also ran it by a friend overseas who is very computer-savvy, and she immediately gave it the green light as well. Plus there was a coupon for a rather large chunk of money off the purchase during Amazon Prime Day, as the icing on the cake. I got the last one available for that price.Still, I was a bit apprehensive because I wasn't sure I could set it up myself - my recent experience with computers is limited to using my already setup and ready to go work computer. This Beelink computer arrived two weeks ahead of the projected delivery date, so I got a chance to set it up yesterday and take it for a drive. It was extremely easy to set up and start using (no, you don't have to install the hard disk to use it, like one reviewer seemed to think), and it runs like a dream. It's very fast and accommodates my tiresome habit of having too many windows open at a time! I think what continually blows me away, besides how well it runs, is how SMALL this thing is. How did they do that? Why is my work computer (a Dell) so much bigger and heavier - and I know it doesn't have the specs that this computer has, because my work always buys the cheapest available products from Dell.In short, I am very pleasantly surprised with all the features of this mini-computer, and I'm considering mounting it to the back of my monitor with the (very nicely) included hardware, which is a great bonus for an uncluttered desktop. If you're hesitating because this isn't some "big name" brand, don't wait - get one of these fine machines, you'll love it! I have not had to contact anyone for support, so I can't rate that, and I definitely don't use it for gaming, though maybe I'll try it out, now that I have this quick little machine, so I can't rate those features, but as far as value for money, far more than five stars!!!
