Wow! I didn't know I needed this additional tool in my kitchen until I bought this scraper. It is comfortable, easy to clean, and easy to store as it lays flat in my utensil drawer. I don't know why I waited so long to purchase this fine item.

This a simple item that works and doesnt cost a bunch OXO usually has good products and there is nothing wrong with this one. After using this on my Blackstone - I knocked it down a star, not due to quality but useability - if using on a hot blackstone, as you grip the handle your fingertips do come into contact with the metal scraper blade. Heat transfer up will in time... and as you scrape the angle needed puts the rest of your fingers in close proximity to the grill surface making use uncomfortable and hot. Cold scraping no issues but when the griddle is hot its a negative. I went and purchased a T handle scraper to use with the griddle.

I'm not always in a hurry to buy new "gadgets" and I tend to wait out that urge to get something. I bake a lot of bread and I've been living with a plastic spatula for a long time. I didn't think I really needed a special tool for this job. However, my spatula is wearing out and my bread making has gotten fancier so I figured it was time to step up with a real dough scraper. Oxo makes good tools especially for someone with small or weak hands. I was a bit concerned that this scraper had too sharp an edge for what I wanted it to do as I work right on my kitchen counter, but I do like Oxo's tools and I have several of them in my kitchen drawers from peelers to openers. I knew that it would be a quality piece even before I bought it so I went ahead and picked this one. I'm very pleased with it overall. It has some weight to it over my plastic spatula, but it's well balanced. The handle is oval-shaped so it fits right into the grip of my hand and feels natural. The edge is sharp enough to cut dough into portions but not so sharp that I feel like I'm going to get cut using it. The sharp corners don't seem to be a problem as the handle/grip gives me great control. I also like the little ruler/markings though they're a bit hard to see in my kitchen's lighting. I had no problem with the dough sticking to it either. One last point that isn't really a deal breaker/maker is the way that Oxo packages this tool. I didn't have to fight this thing out of it's package. It came with a tab that simply pulled open the shell. This makes me feel good about Oxo's commitment to making products that are very helpful to people that have a problem with small hands, arthritis or a weak grip. This simple little packaging consideration made me feel that they really care.

Good grip for large hands. Strong edge. Works well for scraping the work surface, maneuvering dough, and cutting dough as well. Even chops veggies, although it's not made with a sharp edge

Portions doughs beautifully. Also very handy for portioning butter. Use it to scrape off your cutting board and move ingredients. The sturdy handle makes using it a breeze.
