Always check with your doctor before using such a device!For the last couple years I have been experiencing neck and back pain and stiffness. My neck and shoulders are a bit out of alignment (bad posture) from too many years leaning over a computer and craft tables. I have been doing all the neck and shoulder daily exercises suggested by a physical therapist and it's getting better but I still have a long time to go. One of the things they did at physical therapy that really gave me some instant relief was manual traction on my head and neck. I saw a cervical traction device in one of the catalog and though this might be something that I would benefit from so...Off to Amazon and there is was! This one had good reviews and seemed like it was a good quality and the price was right.I have found it easy to use, comfortable and well made. Every night before bed I use this device to stretch and straighten my neck. I wear it for about 10-15 minutes. Over time I have increased how high I pump it up -- nothing too crazy just until I can feel a comfortable stretch. It seems to release some of the tension, making it easier for me to fall asleep. If I find that I am stiff in the morning and wear it while getting ready for work.The pillows are covered in soft felt like material so there is no chafing. I read one of the reviews that suggested fitting the strap snugly under your chin. Good advice! Thanks! This keeps the device in a comfortable position without making me feel suffocated. The seams are tight and sturdy and the metal value works great. All in all it seems very well put together.Another way that I found to use it is while traveling. I use it as a travel pillow . I just don't pump it up quite as much. It keeps my head from flopping to the side (lol) and keeps me from getting a crick in my neck. Better than a squashed up pillow.No, I do not use it while driving as that would be silly and dangerous.

I lost my previous device like this while traveling and I didn't want to spend too much money. This fit the bill. However, I like this one much more than the one I lost. The tubes are much softer against my skin and the straps are softer too. In addition the tubes are thinner and fit me much better. I set the top strap to position right under my chin and I keep the bottom strap snug but not tight so when this get inflated the pressure is under the chin and not cutting off my airway. This also has a metal air release valve instead of a cheap plastic one. Simple device but this really works for me. I have a constant stiff neck and pain in my neck and shoulders. Using this device twice a day plus heat and cold therapy really helps me out. Warning: YES you will feel pressure when it is blown up, but it is more comfortable than using an over the door device.

Works as expected. Wish some data accompanied the package to explain the little bubble in the expansion tube- seems to have a BB inside! Like to know what that's about.HOWEVER, in the third week when I should be increasing the pressure to add additional traction, the devise does leak, some. Not quickly, but slowly. I am having to pump a little every few seconds to maintain pressure/traction. Still works, just irritating. to have to do so.

Crazy looking and odd to use but darn if it doesn't stretch the neck and make you feel better.

Velcro placement is too far apart to pull close to neck, the goal is to get under the neck and lift it, not just inflate around your neck - you do feel the squeeze on your neck but that is not the purpose, if your chin is not being captured to life your neck straight up then what is point... if you look at real PT, they capture the chin and back of neck to pull straight up... this does not do that.

It doesn't hold the chin properly. Could have been much better

This item is surprisingly more than I expected. Comfortable fit, easy to use, very handy.
