A must for seniors!
This has made opening jars and bottles so much easier. I’m 75 with severe arthritis and this is a blessing!

Gets the job done
My Rehab therapist Debbie had me use this tool during my weekly therapy visits. I loved it so much that when she told me they sell it on Amazon I bought it immediately. I have problems with my hands especially strength and my left hand is numb. It really helps getting those jars open without me wanting to throw it against a wall in frustration! Highly recommend this product.

Great product but overpriced.
Great for people with arthritis or for elderly who have lost strength. Works very well. I have one and have bought them for my family and friends. They have a lot of nerve charging so much, but I needed it.

Excellent Jar Opener
This opener is expensive but worth it. I have opened jars that had lids stuck so thigh that I could barely hold onto the jar, but this opener never slipped on the lid. An amazing product. Highly recommended as is it's smaller diameter cousin for bottles. I own both openers.

Game changer for arthritic hands-but way overpriced
UPDATE: I was going to order this for a friend even though it was $16 when I paid $10. I was shocked to see they have raised the price to over $25 when you count tax. I love my friend but I refuse to be held hostage to this ridiculous price gouging. I'm glad I got mine when it was $10 with free shipping because I still think it is wonderful. This probably cost the manufacturer 25 CENTS to make.I drink 8 bottles of water a day. With the manufacturer making the plastic thinner and thinner, every time I opened a bottle I'd have to grip it so hard that the pressure forced a geyser up after the cap was removed. With this device I can easily open a bottle without putting pressure on the bottle. It also is easy on arthritic hands. Sadly, Amazon has decided to add almost $6 shipping for a 50 cent piece of plastic in addition to the $10 charge. $10 is very high but I'd pay it, but to add $6 shipping is adding insult to injury. I was going to buy several more for friends with arthritis, but the ridiculous shipping charge has caused me to change my mind. It still is a great device, just tooo much money.

Great Tool for Arthritic Hands
I bought one for my Mom and returned to buy more for myself and my mother-in-law. My mom was so happy to be able to open jars more easily; she suffers from arthritis.

Durable and effective.
Gotta love Dycem. Coefficient of friction of this material is really high, so it grabs. I've used Dycem products for 30 years. There is one caveat--it has to be clean. Because it is so sticky, it will gather lint, dust, and in turn, oils. If it isn't working like it used to, use some soap and water to clean it, rinse well, and air dry. With regular cleaning, it's hard to wear it out.If the jar is still laughing at you, improve your grip on the jar. If you have fragile and weak hands, try using a kitchen draw at waist height, like the typical top drawer next to the counter. Put the jar into the front of the jar and then use your body weight against the front of the drawer and you turn the lid with your hand. Another option is to buy a small sheet of Dycem and use that to grip the body of the jar with one hand as you turn the jar lid with this cone. Or buy one of the better rated jar openers on Amazon. Or, pour yourself a glass of wine, relax, and say, "I didn't want to open that jar, anyway."
