Great Filter for Daily Driver
I've spent a lot of time researching and trying different oil filters to determine which one is the best for my application and I have settled on the Purolator One. For me, I have two Hondas that are direct injection/turbocharged and I change my oil and filter regularly at about 4,000 to 6,000 miles using name brand full synthetic oil (usually Pennzoil Platinum or Castrol Edge OW-20). I have also tried the K&N HP-1010, K&N PS-1010, Bosch Premium 3233, and Purolator Boss.I have ordered the Purolator One from Amazon about 8 times at this point and it has always arrived in its original packaging without damage. Sometimes Amazon will have a $2.00 coupon off the listed price, so check this listing regularly and "stock up" when it's cheap. The Purolator One filters at an efficiency rate of 99% at 20 microns and is marketed as being able to withstand a 10,000 mile drain interval. Since I change my filter regularly with every oil change, I have settled on the Purolator One because I don't need the 15,000 mile drain interval that comes with the Purolator Boss. I have never had trouble taking off this filter even after a long winter.I am not going to suggest that this filter is superior to the K&N HP-1010 or the K&N PS-1010, but I like the overall construction of the Purolator filters. Both of the K&Ns have a thicker wall (which is similar to the Purolator Boss) than the Purolator One, which can withstand higher burst pressure and has more durability from road debris. This isn't an issue for my application because my oil filter is unexposed and shielded by a belly pan. The Bosch 3233 is sold cheaper than the Purolator One (about $6.00 on Amazon as of the date of this post). Comparing the Bosch 3233 with the Purolator One, the filters look nearly identical in construction. This is likely because Bosch and Purolator were owned by the same parent company at some point and probably share design components. This filter is far superior than the Fram Extra Guard or Fram Tough Guard in construction. All in all, for the price, the Purolator One seems like the best value for my application. If you are changing your oil at regular intervals and under 10k miles, this is a great filter. If you are going beyond a 10k mile drain interval, you should look at the Purolator Boss or Wix XP.

Perfect fit, top quality
This is sturdy heavy duty and long life filter. I will be using this boss filter for now on. The filter is slightly longer than my stock Nissan filter and rated 20,000 miles. It is an amazing and sturdy filter. I will be running these for now on changing only every 2nd oil change.

Have been using these on my partner's Acura TSX wagon for several years now. No issues of any kind.

Almost the same as some higher priced Purolator oil filters.
Price is phenomenal. Filter is rated for only 5000 miles and is a good choice if you change your oil frequently. Recommended for conventional oil or synthetic blend. There are better, more costly oil filters for use with pure synthetic oil.

Impressive filter
Most people don’t think too much about which oil filter to buy as they all do the same job; keep motor oil clean. However, not all filters are built and made the same way which affects how much cleaning they do. Purolator Boss is very well built and high quality. Many filter media is made of cardboard or a synthetic blend. Purolator Boss is made of complete synthetic fibers which allows it to capture much smaller particles at a much higher capacity since the surface area inside is also pretty high.I’ve used three Boss filters, now on my fourth, before writing a review. I change my own oil. I drive a lot, and driving a 3 cylinder engine, I push my car pretty hard often to keep up and merge with traffic. Plenty of city driving at many annoying stop and go traffic. And living in the north-eastern region, we get plenty of extreme temperature changes. I usually change my oil at 3K miles out of habit. Before switching to Puro Boss, my old oil would come out pitch black. After switching, my oil was noticeably cleaner. Like a caramel color. This recent oil change I drove over 5,500 miles. The oil was a dark caramel color, which leads me to believe I can probably push oil changes to 7K miles before changing. I was impressed.Oil filters are rather inexpensive and are so vital to the health of your engine. You would always want to have the best things for your vehicle. Avoid the cheaper brands and opt for Purolator Boss. A few dollars more isn’t going to break the bank, as Amazon has the best price for this filter than other places I have looked.Purolator Boss and full synthetic Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum oil are the best combo for intensive engine cleaning power.

Great Filtration
We have a 2016 Honda Accord. Based on other people's reviews and recommendations, I had been exclusively using the OEM filter at each replacement for 7 years. With each change, I was able to see a small amount of particulate matter in the old, drained oil. So, I decided to see if I could find better options. After reading more reviews and watching some videos where filters were disassembled, I decided to give this Purolator Boss filter a try when I last changed the oil and filter. Not only were the filtration specs good, but the construction looks solid, ensuring that the filter works as planned. Fast forward to today... Upon draining the old oil today I could find no particles in the Purolator Boss-filtered oil. I intend to put Boss filters to use in my truck and lawn mower, too. An extra few dollars spent to on oil filters now and then can save hundreds -- or thousands -- of dollars down the road.
