I think a few others have said this already, but this scraper is amazing. I bought it on a whim because I could not reach some places in my tank well with my Flipper Float. It wasn't until I broke it out to try it that I realized how bad my other glass scrapers were. I could clean the glass in no time without getting my hand in the tank due to the long reach. It is so sharp that I could get off hardened algae that I thought was never going to come off in one part of the tank.Be aware that the scraper blades are super thin and ULTRA Sharp. You must be careful when the blade safety cap is off as you can cut yourself, someone else, and possibly your fish if you are not careful where you are swinging it around. I am buying two more of these to keep at my other tanks in the even longer configurations.

I'm using this for a 180 gallon glass aquarium where I have quite a few spots of brown algae near the bottom on the front and sides. I had previously been using a long handled algae scrubber with mixed results. Took an awful lot of effort to remove the algae and my hand got wet as the handle length was too short to reach the bottom of the tank. This razor has resolved those issues. The razor blade takes all the effort out of removing the algae - it just comes off the glass like butter. The long handle mostly keeps my hand dry unless I'm trying to reach the back side of the glass. Couple of cautions with using a razor though - do not use on an acrylic tank as it will scratch the acrylic and stay away from the silicone seals of the tank as it will cut them quite easily and you could end up with a leaking tank. Use another type of tool for clean algae from the corners of the tank. Overall a great piece of sturdy equipment I highly recommend.

This thing is amazing. I was struggling with magnetic glass cleaners and decided to try this. It scraped off the algae with ease and is perfect to use right before water changes. I highly recommend.

Scrapes build-up easily off my small tank.

I could have saved myself about 24 hours over the last year scrubbing the tank and not getting it nearly as clean as I do with this. I clean my 55 gallon tank once a month. Before it would take over 2 hours scrubbing with one of those handled scrubbers. Now it takes about 10 minutes with this and then I'll use the old scrubber to finish off the corners. You definitely want to stay away from the corners with the blade. It's also kind of oddly satisfying scraping off all of the algae with this, with such ease.

Can't believe I spent so many years scrubbing. This just slides it off like butter!

Works really well for my 50 gallon tank

The little nub on the holder is too big for the blade so I can't even get it on close to flat so I can screw the screws in. Was really excited to use this after the reviews I read, super disappointing.
