Sapiens Original Bookcase Sintesi H.79,6 inches (14 Shelves) White

We already owned three Sapiens bookcases, but found ourselves in need of more. The estimated delivery time was six weeks, but the bookcases arrived within a week. It's a superior product: sturdy and stylish, and easy to assemble. A great solution to shelving books if you have limited space.

Absolutely love this bookcase! Sturdy and stylish. Also, I accidentally ordered too- and before shipping, the company contacted me to verify. Grateful they were proactive -saved all of us a ton of trouble!

This is a wonderful and sturdy bookcase. It's made of high-quality metal and is very easy to assemble. It looks great and fits in small spaces. We now have four in our home. We ordered 2 x on August 15th, 2021 and they were delivered on November 23, 2021. Don't believe anything in the description about delivery times. We were billed in September and given a FedEx tracking number that never included delivery details. After many e-mails, we learned the order didn't actually ship. After many more e-mails, we learned that in may ship at the end of October and were again given a FedEx tracking number that never gave delivery information. The product finally showed up without notice. We're glad it's here and the product is nice (5 stars). This isn't an inexpensive product and shipping is expensive. This is really a "roll of the dice", so buyer beware.

The greatest way to store books in a small space! It looks amazing, it holds numerous books, and it is such a stylish design that you want more of them! Finally, it is sturdy and solid and will not fall over or shift on the floor.

The design is awesome! Everyone who's visited us so far has asked about it!

I have one that I originally bought 4 years ago from Design Within Reach and when I tried to order a second I learned that DWR is no longer carrying the Sapien bookshelf because they were having quality issues from the original distributor. I began searching all over the net for a replacement. There were cheaper models out there, but they weren't the same height as the extra tall that I own. This one was similar in price and dimensions to the one I currently own so I figured I would just order it. Turned out that this one is as good as the DWR model - actually better! The DWR order actually had some bent shelves that I had to get replaced. But this one was shipped very quickly ( I received it within a week of ordering and it came from Italy via FedEx.) It was packed well too. I am very impressed with this seller and their product.

The media could not be loaded. This is a VERY POOR REPLICA of the original Sapien product. This SapienS (note the "s" at the end) version of the real Sapien Bookshelf has a hard time keeping things on the shelf (see video) probably because the shelving is missing the textured coating, like the original. Also, the shelf size is 1/2"-1" smaller than the original Sapien bookcase. This is a good looking book case, but highly recommend you buy the real thing and not this replica. I also think it is deceptive to name this product so closely to the original.

Updated review 2021: I should have bought the more expensive branded one. This product doesn’t hold books that well, they all fall very easily. But I remembered an office I worked which has the DWR version and it was pleasant looking making the books not that noticeable - as in, not an eye sore.DWR stopped manufacturing this so I decided to give this brand a try. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I'm an architect and pleased with its quality and its looks - my white bookcase is clean and minimalist and "disappears" against the white walls, just the way I expected.The order says it takes weeks for delivery, but in fact they ship it from Italy through planes and it gets to the US in a few days. You will be able to track the shipment and know all the beautiful cities it's been in - Italian cities, Paris, etc. You will feel like traveling!The North American team working with the brand is amazing - my base had a small scratch and they immediately sent me a replacement base from Italy. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is you can't really put books that are not sturdy right off the shelves - the shelves are not that deep, and this kind of book would fall. You can place them above rigid books. It's a small design issue that the manufacturer could easily fix. Still, it's working for me as most of my books are hard cover.Fantastic product, worth the price difference between other cheaper similar products out there.
