Addicted: A Novel Paperback – 24 July 2012

This was so much better than the movie which I think is slightly cheesy and does this no justice. Well written and perfect and relatable in ways to the target audience. I love Zane’s way of mixing ebonomics with humour and english language to tell a story that is appealing to an often missed demographic and also with the wild sexual side of the stories adding an element of fantasy and anticipation. Great read

I only found out about the book when I saw the trailer for the film (guys in the film are well gorgeous btw) The book started off very interesting and since this is the first time I have read these kind of books I was surprised to see a lot of racy words in it but at the end of the day the storyline of the book was amazing. From the first night I started reading the book I read at least 3-5 chapters every night before I went to sleep. Will definitely end up reading it again and again.

Found this book a bit slow in the beginning but once it got going I really enjoyed it. Good read.

This book has it all a great storyline and is well written cant wait to get another book written by Zane. This book was recommended and I loved every minute of it. It was gripping to the end. You should get!

I purchased this book purely because of the reviews. All the reviewers claimed how “addictive, amazing and fantastic this book was, unfortunately for me I beg to differ. It would be an understatement to say this book was rubbish but it was nowhere near as good as everyone made it out to be. Even the sexual senses where dull, which surprised me. Zane normally knows how to get her readers feeling exactly how the characters are feeling, but she failed to do even that.

Really enjoyed reading this book. I could not put it down, slow in the beginning but starts to get juicy the more that you read.

Read this as the film is out and I really prefer to read books first if I can. I liked it, and it kept me wanting to read more. A tad predictable, however most books are for me.

I thought this book was amazing, and I can see why it is being made into a movie. Addicted is well written. There were so many layers to this story. The words just flowed and I finished this book in 2 days.This story is told by Zoe. In parts of it, she is going through therapy for her sex addiction and she rehashes her childhood years and the other parts she is sharing the current state of her life. She is desperately in love with her husband, but he is not giving her what she craves in the bedroom. So, she heads out to find it elsewhere, even though she really did love her husband. I liked that there was no doubt that she loved her husband even though he was betraying him in the worst way. Sometimes, in cheating books, I feel like there is no way the cheater loves the other person, but Zoe made it clear that she LOVED Jason not those trifling men that she was sharing her body with. I think Zane did a great job with Zoe's character. I felt for her even though she was doing bad things.This story is packed with love, suspense, action, betrayal and everything else. Boy, was I impressed with this story. I cannot wait to see the movie. Even though I know books are ALWAYS better than movies.Zane's Addicted will most definitely show you why cheating is a very bad idea. Whew, everyone could learn from Zoe's story. Don't do it, it will ruin your life and everybody's life that you know.Great read, totally unexpected.

This was shocking but very good....the main character was portrayed very well throughout the book.I also loved the character Jason ... A good man most men would have given up after all of that but he supported his wife Zoe right to the end.... Very good writing Zane.... I LOVED EVERY CHAPTER.....took me almost 4 days on and off because I couldn't put it down.... Loved it loved it... 2 books I will never forget ....both had an impact on me....

自由奔放な性生活の一方で希薄で脆弱な人間関係。およそストイックな日本の純文学とは対極の設定なわけですが、彼の国の粘膜の擦りあいが、ここまで地に足着かない様相を呈しているとは、フィクションの形を取っているとはいえ、文化的に劣っているようにも思えます。それでも、次々とどんでん返しが続き、悲しみの影には常に寂しさとやるせなさがつきまとい、読んでいて空虚な悲しさがこみ上げてきます。途中は少し力が抜けて、筆致が若干抽象的となり、がくっときますが、まあこんなもんでしょう。パンティが複数形というのは、初めて知りました。

This novel kept me engaged until the bitter end; there was nothing about the book I disliked or had anything to say bad about it. I saw the movie, and it's a shame that there couldn't be more action from the book. However, the book was genuinely unique. I give the novel five stars and can't wait to read more.
