Wonderful Tool!
This was both easy to use AND to clean! Sometimes "helpful" tools are difficult to clean and that makes me less likely to use them. That is not the case here! It was extremely easy to clean! The removable discs also provide a wide selection of how fine you want your food product to be. Received this last week so I am still looking forward to experimenting, but so far have done mashed potatoes and drained spinach (a job I dread) for a casserole. The ricer did an amazing job on each of these! I am looking forward to trying it on bananas the next time I make banana bread. The handle is quite comfortable and the entire unit operates with very little effort to obtain excellent results.

Works, but with bugs
This ricer did make very nice textured mashed potatoes, but I can't give it five stars because the ricer plate continually stuck to the plunger and had to be pried off and pushed back down into the cylinder after after almost every thrust. It made for a messy operation, to say the least! The cylinder itself is rather small, and putting more that a few pieces of potato in it causes excess potato to mush upward into the tube above. So all in all, fairly labor intensive process. Its does seem to be a sturdy machine, and if you have patience and time, works ok.

Good product, but the die plate tends to stick to the press portion. Makes it cumbersome to use. It's functional, but would not consider repurchasing this specific model any time soon.
