Each mug is individually thrown on my potters wheel. Then trimmed and a handle put on. The handle is skilfully pulled and shaped from a lump of clay. Then the mug is glazed with a brushwork design of rich rusts, teals and moon glow glazes, formulated by Mayra, and fired in the kiln to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the highest temperature in the stoneware range making these mugs very durable. The mug shown here is representative of the shape and glaze of this mug choice. As each mug is handmade, there will be variations in glaze from one mug to the next making each one of a kind yet similar. But they will be very similar to the mug in this photo. 5" Height holds 16oz Dishwasher safe. These mugs can be used in the microwave, they might become hot.
