Inconsistent accuracy and false readings
Overall a good piece of kit if you calibrate every time and maintain consistent light hand pressure. However, determining the location of standard studwork behind 12.5mm gypsum board along with dense wool insulation can often be a challenge, (on any of the settings) but familiarity and practice does improve your chances of success. From previous experience it's not on par with considerably more expensive equivalents out there but for the price it generally does a reasonable job.

Pretty accurate for a cheaper model
Person I gave it to as a gift has used it and has found it pretty accurate so not always worth spending a lot on these gadgets...

Great for studs, not so good for wiring
Having used the scanner around the house I've had mixed results. You need to find a spot to calibrate before each use which isn't always easy if you don't know what's in the wall. Having calibrated it I found that it was good at picking up stud work and metal but almost useless at finding live wires. The wire has to be live and drawing current but once you move away from the socket box it seems to lose the wire most of the time. Probably just about worth the money but a nuisance that it is unreliable on wires.

Easy to use
Nice machine could do with the ability to monitor deeper. Having said that it worked well for our needs.

Excellent multi-function tool for detecting whats sunk into your walls
I've had a old stud finder for some time now and have always been infuriated, so as I was starting a new project where it was key I picked up the studs and avoided any wiring, I thought I'd give this one a try. I have been extremely impressed as it does a great jon of picking up the timber studs and alerting if there are any electrical cables there. But and it's a big plus, it will also pick up magnetic metals and unmagnetic metals. I'm not sure if it works but if you've got copper pipes hidden in those walls it also picks them up as well as the just a standard magnetic metal. Not sure how it does the discrimination but it works perfectly. I've posted a couple of photos to show the display for magnetic and non-magnetic as I was so impressed! The screen is large and easy to read and the switch between modes is very intuitive. Yje only thing I didn't quite understand at the outset was the 3 modes for timber. Essentially, you select the thickness of the substrate that is fixed on top of the timber to get the best and most accurate indication. For example select 1/2 inch if you have standard plasterboard but select 1 1/2 inch if you have a board that has insulation on the back.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and although the price is slightly more expensive than some of it's rivals, the others don't have all the features you need to prevent those expensive mistakes!

Seems to work fine
Note the advice in the instructions you may not bother to read which advise you may be calibrating it over a stud/metal/whatever whereas you need to find a void to calibrate properly. You'll know if you need to recalibrate due to erratic readings all over the wall/ceiling. Need to experiment a little with various hidden materials in order to understand how it works best. After that, it's quite accurate. It alarmed at two places on the ceiling where I was trying to find joists. I marked them and measured 60cm between indicated "centre" of each. That's spot on.

Pretty good
I needed to replace my old detector which no longer worked. This one seemed well reviewed and good value. I like the shape and design which makes it easy to slide over the walls without leaving any marks. Some confusion in the instructions which says that you scan for metal using the power button. I queried this with their support team and was informed to scan using the calibration button on the side, which made more sense. Very quick response from the support team btw. In summary, I am very happy with my purchase.
