I have installed 10/10 so far. I am not sure why people are complaining about the plastic breaking. These toggles are much stronger and easier to use than the spring toggles. These toggles work in walls with metal studs that only have 1-3/4" of depth.

These work great and they are rated really strong too. They install without the screw and you can install the screw later. Lifer Saver for my needs. Pros Easy Strong Backer installs without the screw. Cons You need a little more room behind the mounting surface than the fold in half style, if that matters for you. I needed to fasten a 2x4 to some fiberboard sheathing without access to the back of the fiberboard. Liquid nails didn't work, as it just pulled off the surface of the fiberboard. These installed easily into the fiberboard so I could install the screw later. I couldn't drill a 1/2in hole in the 2x4 to pass the backer metal part through because the screw head would no longer have anything to hold and the 1/2 hole would be too sloppy and lose shear strength. These allowed me to install the backer and then drill a small hole for the screws. I just had to make sure my holes were drilled exactly right.

I've used these anchors for many years since finding out about them because they came included with some equipment I was installing at work. They are incredibly easy to use and hold great. One of my favorite features that might not be noticed at first is that if you need to remove the anchor in the future, it's super easy to break away the plastic arms and let the anchor drop behind the wall so there's a nice clean hole in the drywall that can be easily patched up.
