Using a walker was the safest option for us, but it greatly reduced the person's independence. She could no longer carry her book, glasses, etc. while having both hands on her walker. This caddy has enough pouches to keep her items readily accessible without being so large that she has difficulty maneuvering around corners or in smaller spaces. My 89 year old mom broke her leg, and has to wear a boot and use a walker. She hung an old purse on the inside of the leg to hold her cell phone, which struck me as scary old lady thinking. She keeps her tablet and phone and important paperwork in the big pocket on the back, and she loves the spot for the water bottle because she can move it from the kitchen to her comfy chair easily, and more importantly, safely.
