I was pleasantly surprised at the design and workmanship of this toolbox. The components (top and bottom box) are moulded steel. No chance of sloppy or weak welds. It’s very sturdy, and has a good size for a variety of tools. A 16oz hammer fits nicely inside, leaving room for a variety of other household tools.

I purchased 3 of these in 2014, filled them with tools for my then older teen sons, and gifted them for Christmas, thinking it would be practical, but not appreciated until they were older. THEY HAVE LOVED THESE since the moment they got them, and they have used them countless times.These boxes are fantastic, heavy duty, and hard to dent or scratch. My only wish is that they were just a little bit larger, because honestly, you just never seem to have enough room for all the tools you aquire, but for a good standard hand tool kit, this is fantastic. You should however note, there is just no way you are fitting a power tool inside this box, this would be exclusively for a small set of basic powerless hand tools.

I'm extremely satisfied with this toolbox and will be buying more. I really like that there are no seams, just one piece of stamped carbon steel for the bottom, and another for the lid. The steel is sturdy and plenty thick to be durable. Everything is steel, the handle, latches, all of it. The latches open and close easily while still being tight enough to keep the lid from rattling when it's closed, and are sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight. I am not worried about it falling open while carrying it loaded with tools. The blue paint on this toolbox is gorgeous, and that's not something you hear much about tools this box is an actual investment and makes my more expensive plastic boxes look cheap sitting among them I absolutely plan on buying more.

My absolute favorite tiny tool box to put in my cars as an emergency set. Fit in all the basic tools i need. Built strong!

This is a pretty cool tool box. It's really still made in Japan. Fit and finish looks great and the colors absolutely pop on it. I don't know that I would recommend it for tool storage because it's metal and would probably make a racket in transport, but it has great aesthetic value where you want a tool box to blend in as decor or a tool box that makes an identity statement.

My wife has been into indoor and outdoor gardening for a few years now and has gone through many cheap garden tools so this year I decided to get her a full tool kit that should last a lifetime. I built the tool kit around this Toyo/Trusco Y-350 tool box because of it's functionality and beauty. It is an absolute pleasure to use a good quality tool or tool box. It holds all the tools pictured with plenty of room to add a few more tools to the kit. I think this size tool box is perfect for hobbies that require lots of small tools or a basic home owners tool kit. I am a big Toyo/Trusco fan and I got their plant lovers M-8 for my wife in the past.

Of course, you can use it for storing anything you like in this toolbox. I use it to store all my electronic gear, like cords, adapters, chargers, etc. So many cords come with every appliance you buy these days.Sturdy and well made in Japan, but when I looked at buying the larger size box - the shipping was more than the price of the box! Oh well,. I will keep my eye on these products and snap up another one if they go on sale or make the deal list. Highly recommend this box. I love the arched top, more items can be stored than you think at first.

I bought the olive drab color (OD) and it's a nice color but more a brown-green than I wanted. The picture is misleading. So I'm returning it. It arrived in good condition and is a quality metal toolbox. The latch is a little hard to open for me, as an older female.
