Works great!
Great two-part strainer for honey. The top part of the strainer is a coarse mesh that catches the large particles before the honey (or other liquid) flows into the much finer mesh in the second level. I even saw a few wood pieces from the frames in it. The top part of the strainer is removable. It also has extendable arms provided for a secure fit over 5 gallon pails. The sieve catches so much fine particles that it often clogs and requires emptying. The only draw back to this strainer is that it's hard to clean the wax out of it, but honestly, it's hard to clean wax out of much of anything.

Sharp edges at the welding points, and where the material overlaps,
I like the size of it, and that there are two levels of filtering - coarse and fine. However, on both the fine piece and the coarse piece there are sharp edges and corners that can cause injuries. Please see attached photos - the first three are of the fine filter, and the next three are of the coarse filter. As you can see, some welding points have burrs above the surface, which may cut your fingers if you try to wash them. In multiple places where the metal overlap, there are sharp edges sticking out. Also the piece which mounts the adjustable arm (in the first picture) has sharp corners which do not conform to the curve of the rim. All of these are a cause of concern.

I'm using it differently.
I use this to strain yogurt, not honey. The cheesecloth method is so messy and needs to be hung from something or somewhere. I remembered my grandpa used a similar strainer when he was straining his honey, so I hoped this would work for my needs, too. It does! It drains the yogurt quickly, within a half hour at most, and the clean up is very easy. I read the complaints about the plastic yogurt strainers tearing so quickly because they are so fragile. This is not a problem with this strainer. So if you bee people also make yogurt or have friends who do, this is the strainer for you!

Decent for filtering honey.
It is decent, my only issue is that it seems like you can only use the medium mesh with the fine mesh screen. I couldn't find a way to just use the medium mesh without the fine. Clean up is a breeze, I just leave it outside for the bees to clean up.

This screen is absolutely fantastic. I had been using a small colander to remove the big stuff and then filtering through some cheese cloth for the small amount of honey that I harvest. This screen worked just as well as the other combo and was much easier. I could process a larger amount at a time and be off doing other things while the honey was being filtered. It fit right over my stock pot.

Box looks used...it's a gift!
Not sure if the contents is good. Box appears opened and resealed. Not cool for a gift! Will update if there is any issue with strainer, say, December 26th.

I bought this for friends that are just starting with their bees. I can't say how well it works but it is very well constructed. I'm very happy with my purchase

Good build quality at a reasonable price
The price on these is right, we bought quite a few this year to strain honey for extraction runs that are too small for our heated clarifier. They work great and the quality is as well. We might buy a few more!
