speedy and solid
Excellent speed and TBW. Been running Windows 11 system drive doing heavy WSL development with multiple containers and a lot of VR and 4k gamingWith a 13700k and a RTX4090, four three other NVME, an SDD and an HDD - this drive averages 41' C with no heatsinkGame files and AI models are on others NVMEs but can say this drive is 70% full and still pulling some excellent price/performance figures 6 months later.

Disappointed, Not as fast and reliable as advertised
Bought 3 of them (2TB version) to build RAID array for my virtual lab. Disappointed, last drive failed after one day and the remaining drives even out of the box the speeds are not even close to what was advertised, additionally I confirm that after around two months of heavy use, performance significantly drops, in my case to less than half of what was advertised and less than half drive capacity was used.Additionally the drive sometimes goes into super slow mode (200 Kb/s) when you ungracefully reboot your PC (either by reset or by random BSOD) or when you delete large amount of data and reboot gracefully. When you have OS installed on it, this causes the whole machine to be basically useless for several hours. My best guess is that something is wrong with TRIM feature which is zeroing unused sectors prioritizing TRIM over regular I/O which makes drive almost unusable until process is complete. Updating firmware didn't solved the problem, tested using two different Gen4 motherboards.

Overheating like crazy and not recommended at all for laptops, faulty before one year
As mentioned on the manual, REQUIRE HEAT SINK, temp. exceeding 72c. I configured 2 of those as RAID0 in Dell Alienware laptop and I have to open the laptop cover and put external fan base, unfortunately the laptop or any thin heatsink will not help. it is designed to have huge heatsink where you need a room to place this heatsink on.I am migrating from Samsung PRO 980, but definietly I will return back due to the overheating problem.I did not try it on PS5 BUT NEVER THINK OF THIS NVME IN A LAPTOP.Performance gain is not of a considerable difference between Samsung PRO 980, may be cause of the overheating problem. And now before 1 year in action, i am wirting to you to confirm that one of the 2 NVMe 4TB is no longer working and faulty not dedicated on any laptop or NAS.
