Not being sure this would even work, I was very skeptical when ordering. (I am technologically challenged.) There were cheaper ones, and I was tempted. They all had two things to plug in. This one only had one. One less thing to go wrong in my mind. I bought the one with the lights. There was one $2 less expensive without lights. They looked, to me, to be the same otherwise.My laptop speakers were good in my opinion. If a car pulled up in a movie, it sounded like the car was in another part of the room. They were good until they were not. They got buzzy. Maybe that was my fault. I always had the volume way up so I could hear. Maybe that ruined them. The ‘GOgroove’ is loud and clear. I had to lower it. I am happy to not have to read the captions. All & all... I love it!I don't game, so I can't comment on that.

No complaints yet, it’s usb based only. Sound is just okay. I use it for work to listen to calls and take a break from my headsets. It does the job for now not extremely loud, can only control the volume through your pc.

I just started using this but I'm in love. The sound is great and compared to my normal volume that I had to keep at 100, I only have to set this to 30 and it's louder than being maxed out with just my built in speakers. I would absolutely recommend these.

Followup: Stopped working completely about 7 days after the so-called warranty ended but as I said below, on-line warranty was nowhere to be found when I tried to register. Don't buy this one -- poor quality and malfunctions quickly. Original review: The speaker fits perfectly on the top of my Acer laptop. This is a great feature which allows me to move laptop with me without worrying about disconnecting or picking up the speaker separately. The sound is improved enough to make me happy. I only use it for YouTube videos or streaming movies. However, there is no volume control. There is an on-off switch which stopped working almost immediately. The result is that the speaker is on all the time, but connected to the laptop, the speaker is always fully charged. So it's not much of a problem. Overall I'm happy with this speaker. One last thing, I tried to sign up for the warranty online but couldn't do it because the list of products you had to choose from did not include this one!

The media could not be loaded.  I don't know how many of you have laptops that are as thick as the sole on my Doc Martens, but I for one have a laptop screen that is no thicker than a 6th of an inch. The original speaker on my laptop is hot garbage, and as far as sound quality this speaker is a big upgrade. The clamp however, I wouldn't even trust to perch on a bag of probably already stale chips. There is very little surface interaction and tension, as the clip only awkwardly touches the back of the monitor like the lip of a pouting child who didn't get a PS5. If you have a thicc prehistoric screen then you should be alright, otherwise I suggest finding better options.

Great product!!My volume control went out on my laptop, but this is a perfect replacement. The sound quality and volume control are easy to use and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The large lights were distracting and hurtful to MY eyes. Someone else might not feel it like I did. Also, the clip was not close to the lid of the laptop and the gap between did not seem stable to me. Over all, the sound was good, but I removed it in favor of the smaller one I already had.

Ich suchte einen kleinen, günstigen Lautsprecher den ich zwischen 2 Monitoren positionieren konnte. Der Lautsprecher ist perfekt wenn man mit normalen Sound zufrieden ist.

Fixé sur un portable ou posé à côté (le câble USB est un peu court), le rendu sonore améliore nettement l'écoute. Pour un prix modique.
