Best Value among budget cables: the cheapest cable to meet my expectations in both quality and performance
I'd call this an above average extension cord. If you have great open-back headphones that cost north of $1,000 (HD800, LCD2, etc.) AND you connect them with OCC copper or silver cable (typically this would cost another $200+), then you might notice a VERY slight decrease in quality using this cord. Even then, it's only detectable on an A-B test, switching back and forth rapidly. There's no chance you would ever notice any difference in real-world listening, even with your $1,200+ setup. The build quality & materials used are solid, and I saw none of the quality control issues that seem to plague other manufacturers in this price range. It does weigh a little more than some others, but this is a positive to I me, as the jack I bought it to spend its life connected to has a little give, and the cable weighs just enough to keep a small amount of downward force on the jack, which helps maintain a solid connection.Altogether, this is the least expensive cable I've bought that meets my expectations in quality and performance.

If you own an Apple Device like an iPad or an iPhone and use a case, you need this cable
The media could not be loaded. If you own an Apple Device like an iPad or an iPhone and use a case, you need this cable. I did not do the research and initially bought a different extension cable first. While that cable is of high quality, the width of the jack body prevents the jack to be fully inserted into the headphone socket on my iPad, with a case. Everytime I need to use the extension cable I need to remove one corner of my case to plug in the cable. Not a fun thing to do.This extension cable is good for two reasons. First, the “beveled step-down connector” design works. The jack now has a slimmer profile and can go into the socket even when the case is on. Also, note that this is a TRRS cable. It has four sections on the jack. This allows both left and right sound channels, as well as the mic signal to go through. I tested this extension cable and all the iOS controls and mic works.I use this cable with my lavalier condenser mic: Professional #1 Best Lavalier Lapel Microphone Omnidirectional Condenser Mic for Apple IPhone Android & Windows Smartphones,Youtube,Interview,Studio,Video Recording,Noise Cancelling Mic

Really was a great buy.
I listen to music at work through my work desktop. Before I bought this, I was limited to about 2 feet with standard headphones. But after a 3 foot extension, I am free to move around my desk without any fear of having my headphones ripped out of my ears. Really was a great buy.

Cable feels quality and works fine.
Ferrules are metal. Not a fan of the big ixcc logo, but that is only a cosmetic flaw. No obvious difference in sound when listening with or without the extension.

It feels like a Quality cable
The biggest thing I was looking for was no sound degradation. Using this cable I can hear the deep base and high tones on JBL Synchros headphones, unlike the first cable I tried (old cable I found laying around the house - probably 10 years old). Also, it feels like a Quality cable, but only time will tell. I mostly listen on my computer at work and needed a couple extra feet of cable.

Fuzzy
The mic part does not work, but in its defence I run a headset with mic to it and then a splitteralso can cause fuzz sometimes.

Quality cable
I use this as an extension for my lavalier condenser mic to my Mac when at my desk. It brings the mic jack out in front of my monitor where it is easy to reach. It's a sturdy cable and feels well made. Puts the thin lavalier cable into perspective (that one needs to be lightweight so not to weigh down when being worn). My mic needs TRRS.Likes: thick, flexible, rubbery outer cable - doesn't tangle or feel fragile.Dislikes: Nothing really.
