I can't believe $200 bt headphones can sound this good and I have headphones that cost 4 times more
My daily drivers are Fostex th-x00 with Denon da 300usb dac / amp . I also have Denon D7100 , Beyerdynamics dt 770 pro , Fostex t50rp and had been using Aiwa Arc 1 bluetooth for years but it was time to upgrade . I have tried AKG k371bt and returned them because not only they are tuned flat and sound boring but have multiple problems , then bought Skullcandy crushers evo refurb for $100 to see if I like their sound and they were much better and exciting then AKG once you properly set them up and use max 5% bass boost . These Yamahas sound best of them all , much bigger sound , very deep bass and sparkly trebles with great mids . The only thing that many reviewers complain about is comfort . I use headphones for 5 hours a day and after hour pads are getting little uncomfortable and I had to adjust them a bit . Also bass can be little out of control sometimes but this is where new velour pads I got from AliExpress for $10 came in and change all negatives . I can wear them for hours now and bass is much better controlled . Now I have perfect bt headphones with amazing sound and comfort .I also decided to keep Skullcandys crushers evo as well as a backup because they sound really good especially for money I spent . I was thinking about Sennheiser momentum 4 ( too many problems , terrible customer service that refuse to honor their warranty so I skip it ) and Technics A800 ( from what I read similar sound to yamaha and ability to equalize them is big plus but they cost 30% more then yamaha ) but after pad replacement these are keepers and I hope they will last for few years .

Amazingly clear and lovely for music genres like Chillwave especially the bass
My Sony XM4s failed with a sharp noise on the right ear and there is an audible hiss even after cleaning the internal microphone which make them useless for daily use. I needed a replacement, but I couldn't trust Sony again immediately and so I went searching. I saw these at an attractive price on Woot but it was white. Fortunately, the black version was available for a little more and I jumped on it.It was delivered in two days. The packaging is attractive, and the controls are intuitive enough. Long press the power button to pair to a different device. Looking at the description for the app, I didn't feel the need to install it. The noise cancelling is very mediocre, and the bass takes a dive when it is enabled and so I normally disable it. It is the opposite on XM4s. I feel the transparency mode is better though. Now onto the most important and subjective part, in my opinion the Yamaha sounds utterly amazing and clear when playing Synthwave/Chillwave/Future Funk. I really enjoyed listening to Voyage's new album on these. I am really glad that I found these for a good price. I did add extra warranty to be on the safe side.If Yamaha manages to improve noise cancelling, they can seriously compete against Sony. For a discounted price, I greatly recommend these for people who like the bass in their music.

Best kept secret out there.
These headphones are excellent and easily compete with all the big brand premium headphones out there today. I’m a bit of a headphone junkie and these are right up there with the Sony xm5’s far as sound quality. I think Sony and Apple have it far as anc is concerned but these are a close second. Very comfortable and the sound signature is fantastic. I’m surprised these aren’t a bigger deal in the headphone world. I would easily take these over the Bose quiet comfort and the Sennheisers momentum 4.

THEY LITERALLY FALL APART.
These headphones sound amazing, feel very comfortable, have great features, and work really well, which really sucks because they *completely fall apart.*I've had two pair, and they've both done it. The plastic literally crumbles in the same place - the fragile spot where the ear cups attach - rendering them useless. It's an overly complex mess, with very high spring-tension, all apparently intended to be held together with a thin, delicate little plastic piece. With regular use it is a matter of weeks before chips and cracks form, before complete failure.Because everything else about them is so good, I've tried superglue, then attempting to reinforce the part with nylon and epoxy before the cracks form, to no avail. Clearly this one spot should've been made of metal, or at least sturdier plastic. I just can't understand how a design flaw this egregious got approved from a major brand that (supposedly) takes itself seriously in the music reproduction space. No wonder all trace of the model has disappeared and the followup was a complete redesign - that also unfortunately doesn't sound, feel, or work as well as these besides their fatal physical flaw. There is just no excuse for something like this at any price point, let alone something like this.
