Combi-Cam 7850R-M Chrome Medium 7/8" Combi-Cam Combinated Cam Lock

Installed it on the front cargo door of our 5th wheel trailer.

Good instructions, dimensions as advertised. I now have a set of keys locked behind this combination lock so I should not be able to lock myself out. (long story). I have known other RV'ers to replace all of their lock with these to be a bit more secure from the CH751 key issue. I did drop the small square washer as I installed it when I had the lock upside down - and did not realize the shaft comes apart from the combo lock. Found it with a magnet. Whooo, a close one.

I have a stackon gun cabinet with a small ammo/pistol cabinet on top. One of the locks was starting to fail so I decided to try these as replacements as it would eliminate the need for a key. It works. The 7/8" fits the ammo cabinet perfectly. 5/8" would have been better on the gun cabinet, but I got 7/8" to work there with some spacers. The tail piece to turn the latch is also bigger than the original lock so I can to improvise there. It works fine, however the combo is virtually impossible to see. I don't have perfect vision but I don't need glasses. With chrome dials, tiny numbers and chrome surround forget about clarity and forget about getting in quickly.

These are GREAT!!! Very easy to install, very easy to set the combo, and very easy to protect from easily resetting the combo. None of the included tabs worked with our doors, but the old stock one worked fine. Very happy with the quality and operation. We also bought Combi Cam Dust Covers. Don't know if they are required, but we bought'em anyway!

Easy to install and very functional

I tried some other brand. They were clunky, didn’t fit well, got stuck etc…These fit perfect, installed easy and work smoothly!

I replaced our storage bay locks on our travel trailer with these. They were very easy to install and work great. The problem I have with them is that the numbers are not easy to see in the dark. The letters are not black or another contrasting color and the light from a flashlight reflects making it very difficult to see the numbers. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to make the numbers black on the chrome locks for a contrast.

The numbers need to have a little more contrast. If you have less than 20/20 vision, it's hard to see the numbers. I understand they have to be small, but how about a little contrast? Having a black wheel with white numbers would be much better. Also, the knob doesn't have much grip. If your fit is a little tight and the lever rubs up against the frame a little, your fingers can slide when trying to open/close.

Just be aware that there is a no return policy on these so be careful when ordering. Make sure you get the right size and color you need. I'd recommend trying to track them down locally or only purchasing 1 first before committing to the total amount required.The Chrome versions that I got off of Amazon really are hard to read in the dark. You end up getting a lot of glare coming back at you and so I decided to try the black ones. I got them locally (for a decent bit less than is available here).The black ones are easier to read. You still get glare of the numeric wheel but the face won't blind you like the Chrome ones. Ah well, live and learn.Other than that these are actually pretty great little locks. I wanted to replace all my storage compartment locks and these worked fairly well. Installation was pretty simple and as other reviewers have mentioned there's a decent amount of flexibility in the left/right turn options.If not for the readability issue I'd give the locks 5 stars. I was tempted to take away a star for the no return thing but to be fair that doesn't speak to the quality of the item. Just make sure you're aware of that condition. I wish Amazon was more clear about what is returnable and what isn't. Most things are, but on the rare occasion some things aren't and it would be nice to know beforehand.

Good products though bit pricey. Good delivery quick. As described. Digits are small. Installation somewhat painful as instructions not immediately super clear. You do ultimately figure it out w lots of back and forth.

The tumbler numbers are very difficult to read.

I purchased 3 of these RV storage compartment combination locks after a theft of my high end power drill at a Trailer Park. They are well made and secure. The numbering should be made little larger to enable easier reading. I am pleased with my purchase.
