Real Life Mystery
This is a relaxing, educational book on Howard Hughes. Mystery and drama. Well written and enjoyable. Whether or not you believe the premise the authors, it won’t take away from your enjoyment reading it.

Compelling story
I think the enigma that was Howard Hughes will provide us with endless research, speculation, and even, in the true spirit of the man, adventure. The authors did the world a service by creating all the former characteristics in their work. And the irony isn't lost on me. The fact that Eva Howard, for the rest of her life, would actually secretly be "Eva Howard-Hughes"; it would be within Howard's character to see this as an added bonus to his escape. The grand irony being that while the world wondered where he was, he would be living with someone that had his exact namesake. No spoilers, and no Cliff's Notes style review. If you like a real-life mystery, adventure, and a touch of celebrity with a dash of power, grab it.

A fascinating book!
Totally logical, beautifully written, and relentlessly compelling, Boxes is superbly researched and answers questions I've had for a long time. The authors seamlessly weave a complex story that never fails to surprise and illuminate. Especially intriguing are how the disparate "loose ends" of the Hughes story are neatly fitted together -- including a detailed explanation of how the emaciated and demented "Hughes" with long hair and fingernails could, weeks later, be a commanding speakerphone presence in full possession of his faculties, and then be spotted being transported to an airplane nearly lifeless on a gurney, and soon thereafter be his old self and healthy in a meeting with the governor of Nevada... Most interesting book I've read in ages. I'd recommend it to anyone, not just those fascinated by Howard Hughes.

Fascinating!
This was cover to cover the kind of thing I've always wondered about Howard Hughes. There's a lot to be wondered about how Eva came up with all the money she did to continue at whim to buy houses, storage containers etc. They both had secrets I'm sure of it. What a fascinating read!

Great job to the investigator
Because someone is finally telling the truth about what really happened to Howard Hughes. It's a lot of fascinating facts and documentation that proves the real story. Great job to the investigator, who by the way is a United States Brigadier General from the Air Force with a lifetime career of 36 years. I'm so glad to see the truth coming out. I look forward to reading more information on Howard Hughes. That man gave his life to our country and got little recognition for it. Being a CIA agent and his secret life is just amazing to read. Thanks so much to the men on this project.

Those interested in Howard Hughes need not bother!
DO NOT waste your time or your money on Boxes unless you are a conspiracy aficionado.Potential readers need to know that the text on the back of the book describes its contents as the "story of Eva McLelland and her reclusive life married to a mystery man she discovered was Howard Hughes...Hughes's link to the murderer of mobster Bugsy Siegel and the killers of President John F. Kennedy are revealed as well as the real identity of the long-haired crazy man that Hughes placed in the Desert Inn Hotel to distract the world while he escaped. Eva McLelland kept her secret life for thirty-one stressful years as she lived a nomadic existence with a man who refused to unpack his belongings for fear he would be discovered and have to flee. Only her husband’s death finally released her to tell the story that had been burning inside her for decades."Had I read the above prior to purchasing the book via Amazon, I would have passed on it.

Great read
Appears to be a well researched and carefully crafted thesis. Certainly believable. One wonders if such a deception would be possible in the era of internet.

The mystery of Howard Hughes continues
Howard Hughes, businessman, Hollywood movie mogul, playboy, aviator, enigma..This book is convincing about Hughes paying a man to be him while he travelled the globe incognito.. Unbelievably eccentric Nik/Howard is genius bordering on insanity.
