The Mens Guide To Tinder: The Essential Manual For Tinder, Dating & Hookups

This "guide" provides a general overview of Tinder and includes a few useful tips for helping the user set up a stronger profile. But I was expecting more detail, a lot more, and the $8 price did not justify the information contained within. It is really more of a "pamphlet" than a book at 57 pages (page numbering absent!) with large typeface. The writing is poor and would have been torn to shreds by a copyeditor - had the author taken the time to utilize one, which he clearly did not. The pamphlet would been made much stronger by the inclusion of more user examples - particularly from female perspectives - and the development of a deeper strategy. Most of the tips are common sensical enough that an average person could come up with them on their own, with a little help from their female friends or by trial and error on the app. But if you have never used Tinder before, it is a good place to start.

I'm using Tinder for about two months and I haven't found anything particularly interesting in the book. Most information is just common sense. Some well-known things are missing, like best hours to swipe (6pm-11pm), best weekdays (Thursday-Friday). If you never used Tinder before, you might find something in the book, but if spend a month here - you won't find anything new.

This "book" was a complete waste of money. It is full of typos and grammatical errors and absent of page numbers. It looks like something you could produce on your own at Kinko's, not an actual book. Much of the advice was extremely obvious and the whole ~60pg book can basically be summed up as post good pictures, be polite, be honest and try to be humorous (kind of difficult when you only have 500 characters to work with, you don't know your audience and you are working in black and white characters with no context but unfortunately the author had no real insight as to how to overcome these barriers to humor). No in depth research was put into it, just a couple of anecdotes from friends of the author that had success on Tinder. You would be better off just reading a couple of articles online about how to be successful on Tinder. Don't waste your money on this poorly put together pamphlet.

I was really pleased with how in depth this book was. It was very well written and covered all the intricacies of the Tinder world. There is a wealth of advice on how to improve your profile as well as your interactions. I am seeing the results already. A really great book.

Very poignant and useful information. Chris seems to have figured it out. I could only hope anyone, guy or girl, who has an online profile takes his advice to heart. Should be mandatory reading before one could even sign up.

Don't waste your life with Tinder go out and meet girls naturally!!!!

I run a blog about online dating and am constantly reading books and articles about this fascinating world. This is, by far, one of the most useful and REALISTIC books I've read. Hemswith dissects each aspect of using Tinder - even some you may not realize have any importance at all - and then gives thorough explanations of what men usually do wrong and WHY it's ineffective. The Why is one of the most important parts of the explanation, because it makes it harder to ignore the advice that's coming up next. Believe me, I've spoken to a lot of guys who are committing these "crimes" and are very stubborn about making changes, but I can't imagine they'd resist if they read Hemsworth's very sound logic and effective fixes. And I really can say they are effective, because since I read the book I've been studying men's profiles and Tinder interactions with me and I can see that the ones who are (unknowingly?) following his advice are much more appealing to me. I wrote down several amazing quotes from this book and plan to feature it on my blog. I would recommend this over ANY dating advice book for men written by a woman, as I believe Hemsworth's advice is much more realistic and insightful than most women would admit. (and I'm saying this as a woman, myself)The only reason I give this book 4 stars instead of 5, is that it badly needs an editor's touch. There are many grammatical errors and missing words. However, even a grammar nazi like me was able to look past it because his overall writing style was really pleasant and down-to-earth, and the advice was so good I just wanted to shout "THANK YOU!" over and over. So Thank You, Chris, for explaining so clearly what these guys are doing wrong and why it's so ineffective. I think you're going to help a lot of frustrated guys.

Although his insightful, unique tips are catered towards men and Tinder, they are universally applicable for both genders in any online/in-person dating situation. He also includes results at the end of the book. These not only show how his methods work, but provide hope to listeners. This is a must-have guide for anyone looking to try social media dating or who hasn’t had much luck online.

A surprisingly insightful read, credit to the author. Not something I normally read, however with my recent "lack of response" from swiping right on Tinder, I really needed help.This book has a great scope. It provides background insight regarding the online dating scene, a walkthrough guide to make yourself 'marketable' to women, overcoming obstacles, all the way through to emphasising chivalry is not a lost art and how to react when you meet that special person. I have taken a wealth of value from this book.Going above and beyond, making small changes really does make a significant difference when standing in a sea of wolves. This book gives you those small gems to stand out from the pack.

The kind of person this is aimed at is probably the one reading this! If you want a joke present, this beats Tinder Tactics because of the quality content but it does fall behind on printout quality. If you want genuine advice, this is better than Expert Tinder Strategy because it covers the whole of the latter in a far less obnoxious tone. The tone of this book is respectful, enlightening and encouraging.I will be passing my hard copy on to a friend for Christmas. I recommend this book.

I've read a lot of self-help articles online about Tinder, without seeing much return. So, I was sceptical when I came across this e-book. How wrong I was.The book is well-written, with a lot of new tips which I haven't found elsewhere online. After following much of the advice contained in this guide, I matched with more women in the space of a few days than I had during the whole of the previous month.I hope the author publishes further editions of the book to keep up with future iterations of the app.

A £10 leaflet I could have made myself

This is great to waste £10 down the drain and waste 60 mins of your life with this waffle. You can get better advice by googling tinder advice. I couldn't one useful bit of advice in this book.
