Brilliant fun baking kit!
My two little'uns loved making the burger cupcakes! Brilliant activity for a rainy afternoon and got them off their iPads and tablets for a little while.Really easy to follow instructions and the mix made more than we were expecting. Everything is in the kit except for a couple of supermarket basics (eggs, butter, milk) which we had in anyway. Will look at the other Craft and Crumb kits our next afternoon activity :)

A lot of prep and far too expensive
In theory this looks a great idea but when you get the box you realise it’s going to take a fair amount of time to prepare and bake this tiny feast.I was surprised at how little you actually get in the box, it’s a very small amount of ingredients and you still need to add eggs, milk and butter!Instructions are good but the whole thing is far too expensive, save your money and have just as much fun with your kids, when making cakes from a kit thats a tenth of the price!Hope you found my review helpful

Takes a while to build and prepare!
This is a nice, slimline kit to fit through your letterbox to make some fun burger and fries cakes with seemingly less effort than doing it all from scratch….The kit contains cupcake mix, cocoa powder, red food colouring, yellow and green icing, cake cases, Pearl decorations, icing sugar, cocktail sticks and baking paper. You need to add 2 eggs, some milk, 100g butter and cupcake tray. You mix the mix and butter and eggs together and add to half of the cases, plus the square cases then you add two teaspoons of cocoa powder in, mix and add that mix to the other 6 cases and bale for 10-12 mins - mine took longer as I have a smaller, less reliable oven! You then prepare the ketchup icing which involves mixing that with water to a thick consistency and adding the food colouring to get a bright red, you then roll the green and yellow icing flat, cut into squares and form the cheese and lettuce.Assembling involves cutting the plain buns in half, half of mine stuck to the paper case which meant the bottom part of the ‘bun’ was broken and thin so some of my burgers were very brittle. You then later the ketchup between the chocolate ‘burger’ and your slices of lettuce and cheese then you’re supposed to sprinkle the pearls on top like sesame seeds but these just roll off and are actually pretty useless I found - you can’t really press them in either to the top.The fries you cut from the flat square cakes to make the chips and then hold the burgers together with the cocktail sticks. You then assemble the burger box and serve!Fun to do but time consuming! Took me 1.5 hours! Also over £20 for this kit is so much for 6 cakes and some small cake sticks - you could recreate this with your own ingredients for so much less. I’d say around £15 like the other kits is around right for this.

So expensive!
This has supposedly eco credentials, but really it is just packaged in a rustic looking cardboard box. This is quite a complicated baking kit for little ones, and you could get all the ingredients separately for much less money. Really the cake mix is just flour and sugar. I just don't think this is a great kit.

Just add egg, butter and milk for realistic burgers and chips
This is an excellent kit, both fun and tasty. It has everything you need, just need to add egg butter and milk.I like how the burger trays and the paper to wrap the chips in. I think it makes a great gift for anyone that loves to bake. This is also good for parties which will definitely be a talking point. The instructions are simple, the cake is tasty, and most importantly its fun!.At the end of it, you would have learnt to recreate the same yourself but just have to get all the ingredients. It is slightly expensive at £25, for cake mix, but there's a big fun element to it and you learn something too so I would still recommend.

Lovely!
This is a lovely little box of ingredients to make a batch of burger cupcakes with chips. You receive all the dry ingredients you'll need (you'll just need your own eggs, butter and milk) along with cutter, piping bag and instructions. It's all beautifully presented in a kraft box, that's suitable for posting, so it would make a lovely gift for someone who needs to smile - eg, if we have to put up with lockdown for much longer. The cupcakes come out very well, and they're very tasty. And having all the accoutrements means you can make them again and again - you'd just have to order in the dry ingredients. All in all, this is a lovely kit. Highly recommended.

Burger cakes or cake burgers?
Like cake? Have kids? Wanna have some messy fun? This is the Craft & Crumb Store Burger Cupcake Kit.To make this you will need 2 eggs, 100g of butter and a dash of milk. Mix all into cake mix, then empty into 6 cupcake papers and 2 small square trays. Then add the cocoa powder to the remaining mixture, mix and add to remaining 6 cupcake papers. Add all to oven at 180° then take out at 12 mins. After that you'll discover cupcake cases are useless, use yer own! But perseverance! Put cakes in fridge, then make icing sugar with a small amount of warm water, add red food colour. Roll out green and yellow icing. Cut into squares.Remove the cakes from fridge, they'll be stuck to paper! Then build burgers. To be honest, you'll have all the ingredients in, and you could make. But to be honest it's fun and the instructions are great. All the items are good, except the cupcake papers! The taste is nice, very sweet for my pallete but the kids loved em. The icing sugar ketchup went down a treat.Overall I would thoroughly recommend as a treat or maybe a unique present. Just use some silicone cupcake moulds!
