I can’t write to the IR visibility of it, but it’s a damn good looking hat. The inserts for foliage could be like a green color, but it doesn’t change the camo all that much. Damn good hat, so good mine got stolen and I’m ordering another.

Camo works so well i can't find the hat

This camo hat is good, but not quite what I was expecting and maybe a bit over priced for what you are getting. I think a fair price would be $5 and not $11. (I almost returned it). First, it is very flimsy. You could wad it up and put it in your pocket. I was thinking from the description it would have been a bit more sturdy and would keep its shape better. Second, the color is darker and more green than the picture for this model illustrates. (I had to check again to make sure I ordered the right one). Third, it is going to be too large for most heads. It was too big for mine and my head size is average. The size is actually 60 (which is the largest). The only way to keep it secure is to use the drawstring under the hat and to pull it tight. Fourth, from the description, I expected the rim of the hat to extend out on the sides about 1-2" further (like the military and safari ones) to protect from the sun more. As is, depending on the time of the day, the sun manages to get through at an angle because the hat rim (diameter) is smaller (1-2" all around) than the standard military or safari ones. Now for the good. The material, though flimsy, is of good quality and workmanship is good. There are no loose threads or loose snaps. Also, the drawstring is of good quality and it has a plastic slip knot at the end which helps you quickly size it and loosen it. I also like the fact that you can snap up the sides or leave them down. Also, what I call a disadvantage or one of the features, I do not like, others may find it to be a great feature and that is it being "flimsy". Some people may like that they can fold it to the size of a pocket square and stick it in their pocket. I was looking for a hat that would keep its form even when not on the head. One other nice thing that you don't always find in a hat are "washing and care instructions". Just inside the hat, they have them detailed out on the tag which will be needed. Overall, I rate a solid "B".

Works as intended. Been using this for the beach and mowing the lawn. May need to get another one because of the sweat collecting but so far so good.

Material is nice and heavy, same material as desert DBUs, and stitching seems adequate. But this hat is sized for a giant head. I'm no pinhead, I wear a size 7 soft cap / cover, but this was way too big. I was able to resolve this issue after I received another boonie from a different manufacturer, which had a drawstring incorporated in the brim lining. So my solution was to run a length of 550 cord inside the liner, to allow me to cinch it up a bit. Now it fits perfectly, and my head isn't swimming in it. It otherwise looks well made considering it's made in China, but what isn't these days.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It’s certainly not “one size fits all” it’s made really small, I’m 6’3” and 280 lbs with a average size head and this is way to small for me, my wife who has a small head tried it on and it fit her but it was so tight that she said if she had to wear it that she would have had a headache soon SO if you have a small head this cap is for you it’s well made and looks good but really small

Konstruktionen känns rejäl, och verkar hålla passformen, och borde tåla att knölas ned i en väska (har ännu inte testat detta, men det var ungefär så den levererades). Det återstår att se hur bra den tål upprepad handtvätt, men jag tror det skall fungera bra.

I love this hat!!! It’s so well made looks pure MD made the stitching & material is perfect. The poppers work really well & the strap is well worth having on very windy days. Don’t think about it just buy it you will not be disappointed - ps the jungle camo is stunning!!
