The handle on mine had some dings and scratches when it arrived due to very poor packaging. Since this is fulfilled by Amazon, the failure is with them and not the seller. The padded envelope that was used even arrived with a two inch split along one seam. Otherwise, I'm pleased with it. The size is just right for doing one piece of meat and cleanup was easy. They suggest pre-heating it on the grill first, but since I use it indoors with a skillet, I just skip that step with no negative effect.

Excellent press for panfrying a couple of sausages or hotdogs, or a single pork chop! Handle is wooden, and doesn't get hot. Weight is perfect, and round shape/diameter fits well in a stovetop fry pan.

Needs to be "seasoned" B4 and after uses to keep in new condition and to prevent rust. Usual treatment for all cast Iron cookware

Good cast weight, once washed keep dry and oiled or by definition it will rust: it is cast iron.
