MW Polar Herring, Smoked/Peppered, 7.05-Ounce

I was really surprised with how tasty this snack is. The pepper is there and there's a great smoke flavor. I've eaten canned sardines and I Don't like that their spine is included, don't like that crunch. These are proper fillets and seasoned very well. Will buy again! I do caution opening these though. This isn't tuna that smells a little like fish. The liquid/oil smells strongly of fish and should be opened and drained carefully. The fish taste amazing though!

Good flavor, good texture. Smoke isn't too strong. Once later in day I had a "smoky burp". But not a fishy one. I like this direct from can, or scooped out onto crackers and cheese. I keep it simple.The cans aren't really all that great. They have a soft-ish top, and the tin is on the soft side. Mine were all dented but that is because they tossed my cans in with super heavy items (a gallon of molasses, a box of shelf stable almond milk, and huge laundry soap--so ridiculous). At least they didnt pop open.I wouldn't bank on this for extended storage (ie, prepping), but I would put it into rotation just for variety.Money saving tip (if you can do it): Currently $2.24 on Subscribe & Save (at max 15% discount). Pretty tasty, easy to eat. I mostly just eat as is on crackers, but someone more imaginative could probably do something pretty complex. Pleasant.

these containers were crushed, damaged and one was leaking when package arrived. There was no packing in the box but the box looked fine. These tins could be a little tougher probably. Taste is excellent. Really good, smokey, pepperie flavor. Best tasting canned seafood I can remember. Just toughen up the packaging a little.

Love product and cannot always find in my local market. A little pricey to order , but worth it when I can’t find elsewhere.

The fish smell is still extremely strong even through all the pepper. The fish stench continues to linger after cleanup. On top of all that, the fish meat itself is very oily. I had to throw out the entire pack and definitely won't be buying this again.

I order these regularly. The can was busted once. But other than that, it’s been great. Delicious .

I really got myself hosed on this , i paid $33 FOR ONE yes ONE can of these Herring Fillets. They could be the best tasting ones on earth but $65 per pound still aint worth it . I honestly thought i was getting 18 cans , shame on me . Sure as hell won't happen again , buyer be ware
