Came in on time as promise. Fast but box Abit torn and crumpled. Still all component are intact. Will review again after installation and test. For now very satisfied with the product.

This trolling motor is just right for my kayak (with a 24" short shaft and a 2-blade propeller). The delivery is fast. And the best part? Newport Vessels' customer service! I had to modify the trolling motor: As seen on the attached pic, I had to turn around (180 degrees) the on/off and speed control handle on the head unit so that the handle faces me while I am seated on my kayak, and I contacted Newport Vessels for help/instruction. I literally received email reply from Newport Vessels within minutes, with all the detailed step-by-step instruction, and with some short video clips showing exactly how to do this. I also received several following up emails from Newport Vessels to ensure I got this done right. What can I say? This is the very best customer service I have had. I use this on my SeaEagle 285fpb inflatable fishing boat. With all my rods, my tackle back pack, the battery and me on board, this thing can haul my boat rather quick at full speed. The length of the handle is adjustable and the length of the shaft from handle to propeller is perfect for my boat. I primarily use this for freshwater, so I'm not sure how rust resistance the components are. But I do spray them with Corrosion X once a year for protection, just in case. It's very easy to install on my boat and not very heavy. Overall, this is one of the best value for the money when it comes to transom mounted electric trolling motors on the market.

I got this thing working off milwaukee batteries and it goes great on a canoe. Great value great product great purchase
