Working great almost a year later.
In march of 2016 I was finally able to afford braces. I very quickly found out braces hurt and were extremely annoying when it came to food getting in between the brackets. This waterpik has been a lifesaver! I use it on most days 3 times daily after each time I eat. Since it is rechargeable and portable, I take it to work with me everyday and even out in public. Having had this for almost a year its just recently started having issues with sluggishness and water not coming out immediately and a weak stream. So I put some apple cider vinegar inside it, turned it on and let some run through it and let it sit for about 3 minutes. Within 5 minutes the apple cider vinegar was cleaning out all the gunk and now its working perfectly again. I loved it so much I purchased one for my mom for Christmas.

Wonderful Product
I was afraid to purchase this product due to some not so good reviews, but I took a chance because I really wanted a water pick that is rechargeable. I'm so glad I took a chance, this water pick is so easy to use. I didn't have the issue that others speak of, no water splashing in my face, and no huge mess. I simply followed the instructions that were included and it works like a breeze on the first try. I haven't had it long enough to determine the endurance of this product, but so far, I'm loving it. I also have not experienced any pain while using it, I point the water pick at the tooth where it joins the gum line and its perfect. You must keep your mouth slightly open, and just let the water drain in the sink. Great product!

User Instructions
I like this waterpik because it's doesn't take up a lot of space on the sink top and works really well. However, I have had the same issue that others mention, in that it tends to die after 9 months to 1.5 years. I just kept replacing it. But this time I actually called waterpik. Not only did they send me a new unit, but also explained why it might be burning out so quickly. It's only supposed to be charged about once a week. I was leaving mine plugged whenever it wasn't in use. So if you get one, treat it like a cell phone and only charge when the battery runs low. Otherwise, it's great.

Great Compact & Cordless Dental Cleaning Device
We had one of the original Waterpik units many years ago that was electric and had the water reservoir that sat on top. Not very bathroom sink-counter friendly due to its size. This is a much better product than that! It is compact, cordless, and rechargeable. You have the choice of two tips--one more gentle (blue tip), and one with a higher velocity (clear tip). They do recommend you replace the tips every six months. One set comes in the box. If additional people will be using it, can order additional tips on Amazon. To use, fill the small reservoir in the back with water, add the tip, and then turn, and use until the water runs out. Our dentist recommended we get this product because he said after brushing and flossing, we might be surprised that it finds more that might be stuck between the teeth. We have found this to be correct. Would have been nice if there was some kind of case or stand for the tips--especially when you have multiple tips for multiple people who use the same base unit. We ordered these "toothbrush" cases on Amazon so each person can store their own Waterpik tips. Toothbrush Holder Toothbrush Case, Eunion Plastic Toothbrush Holder for Travel-Clear White 2 Pack

It's a Miracle!
This product is a miracle solution to flossing for me. I hate using regular floss because it always cuts off the circulation in my fingers, makes my gums bleed, and gets my hands gross and slimy as I try to navigate my mouth! This product solves all of those problems for me - my fingers can move free, my gums are no longer aggravated, and I don't have to put anything but the tip of the pik into my mouth. A potential downside is that it does splatter water everywhere, so you have to lean over the sink to use it, then dry off the product (and yourself) with a towel before you can start charging it again. But this is way easier and more comfortable for me than cleaning up after flossing, so I'll take it. I was also expecting it, at best, to be... better than no floss, but not better than real floss. I was pleasantly surprised to find that studies show it actually is comparable, and in some areas MORE effective than regular floss - so I'm happier and my smile is healthier. :)

Cordless Water Flosser
We purchased a countertop Waterpik and loved how well it leaned our teeth and made our gums healthier. The thought of traveling without a water flosser was unacceptable, resulting in our purchasing the cordless Waterpic Flosser. I charged it up per the instructions and gave it a try. The pressure was much lower than the countertop version (expected) but I thought it would work well enough for travel purposes. After charging and checking out how it works, I charged again and placed it in a drawer, ready for our upcoming trip in a month. We left for our trip ~ one month later, arriving at our destination late that night. We tried using the unit that night but it was DOA. No power, no noise, nothening. I plugged it in hoping it was the batteries, which was the case. Battery drain (two people) required us to keep it plugged in everyday of our trip. Water pressure with the high pressure tip was good enough for travel purposes but much lower than the table top unit. The water capacity is pretty small but once you get used to using it, I could make due with one filling. Bottom line: if I had to do it all over again, knowing what I know now I would buy it again. I need to determine if the quick battery discharge is faulty or within design expectations, prior to the warranty expiring.

Disappointed with WaterPik
I bought this product because I knew waterpik was a reputable name. However, this particular model is awful. First of all, there's no way to control the pressure of the water, only one pressure. Secondly, the pressure is so mild I don't think it does anything. I barely feel it. Thirdly, for 2 times use a day, it needs to be recharged 2-3 times a week. And lastly, the charging port continuously gets water in it since there's no covering. You must make sure it's completely dry before plugging in to risk electrocution! Very poor design & very disappointed in WaterPik. After only 2 months use, I'm so frustrated that I'm buying another, obviously won't be this one. DO BETTER WATERPIK!!!
