Chop Chop! Japanese-Style Multifunctional Mandoline Dial Slicer

I had one of these in plastic, finally cracked. Maybe due to dishwasher over time. This one looked sturdy reviews were good. I felt the stainless would dishwasher wash well. BEWARE.....Youlsa, this baby is razer sharp. An excellent feature, however Never use without guard. And slice slow, if you slip, you will be at the ER. [happened to me with the last slicer I bought'] I now wear rubber gloves when slicing, no damp slippery hands and a bit of protection. Lesson learned, When blade dulls and your adding pressure to slice, time to replace. This was a great purchase for the price.

Let's just say this is sharp as heck and PLEASE use the guard! I first used it and was trying to figure out the cut size with a long baked potato and on the second slice it got my thumb and yes I ended up in the er room because I didn't think it would cut me on the second slice, so please be very careful and never ever use it without the guard,that's what they are there for! It is a very well made product and very easy to adjust thickness so I do recommend this product.

Love it!! I accidentally ran the vegetable holder thing down the sliver the wrong way and broke off a couple pieces of the plastic. I would consider it a design flaw that that can even happen. Overall, pretty great tho!

Worst slicer ever. I had a cheaper one that sliced better, i thought the stainless would hold up better but no. First time using it out of the box and it wont cut an onion! How it cant cut an onion i dont know but it took 3 very forcefull trys to make a single slice. My cheap one did it easier and it has a dull bent blade!Dont waist your money on this slicer!

Be carefully for it is very sharp and I mean sharp. Outstanding though.

Okay. Not as sturdy as I would have liked. It struggles with potatoes. The settings do not hold very well so when cutting potatoes it will move position. But for the cost it will do.

Works great! I sliced 5 lbs of squash for a casserole and scalloped potatoes in 1/4 the time it usually takes me when using a knife. This product is worth it's weight in gold!

I highly recommend honing the edge out if you plan on using this daily. But once honed, it changes the way your chef looks at shaved fennel! Lol. Be safe and this mandolin is great.
