While it was very fun to play it, the fluid began to stick to the glass immediately. Now most of it is covered with it and the amount of fierro fluid to play with is less.EDIT: the company immediately contacted me to notify me I received a faulty unit. They offered a refund and am ordering a new unit since I was amused and had fun messing with the ferro fluid. Great customer service from evil kitty.

I am a science teacher and I have never seen ferro fluid turn into a hard mass. It was fine when it arrived. After using it as a demonstration for one day, the material became a hard clump. It appears it cannot be returned, but I hope I can save another teacher/parent/science geek some $. Order the material from another vendor. This stuff is an inferior product.

Received the item in new condition...within a minute of use the ferrofluid became permanently attached to the inside of the glass in the middle. Has a novelty factor but not worth the purchase in my opinion.

This is a really cool gift and I really enjoyed playing with it, but the magnets chipped very quickly after opening the package. Every time the magnets click together (as they were assembled in the package) too quickly, they chip and leave fragments. For the price, I expected sturdier magnets.EDIT: Very shortly after writing this review, the company emailed me and apologized for the magents' deterioration and offered a refund. So customer service is GREAT, you just have to be careful with the magnets when putting them together. Overall, I definitely recommend this product!

Fun for about ten minutes, but the fluid disappears below the black caps when you remove the magnets, not really a good display piece, and the magnets have a tendency to stick together when you manipulate the fluid, maybe if it came with a horizontal stand it might be better.

Works great. Make sure to keep it away from intense heat and stand it upright with magnets out of sight. It is so much fun and times flies with the ferrofluid.

birthday gift for my eight-year-old daughter. she likes it a lot. it's not as flexible as a large flat square ferrofluid demo, but it's pretty fun regardless.i do not suggest using any magnets that are stronger than the included magnets as you may accidentally break the glass (though the glass does seem pretty thick, it's still glass)

Came in the mail cracked with black liquid everywhere. What a mess!! Quality of this product is very low.

Works very well, but after 2 months, there has been a development of fungi in the liquid. So the quality of the water used is questionable!Fonctionne très bien, mais après 2 mois, il y a eu un développement de champignons dans le liquide. Donc, la qualité de l'eau utilisée est douteuse!
