This is my favourite fountain pen accessory and I use it when I fill a converter fountain pen. So far it worked for the pilot con-40, Lamy z28, Monteverde threaded converters, sailor converters, Schmidt converters, and sailor converters. The sailor converters took some time to get it working and you need to twist it a little bit first and then insert the pipe to make the pipe fit into the fountain pen converter.

I had a bottle of ink that was almost empty and the snorkel... a match made in heaven. Of course it will only work for pens where you can remove the converter. Of course, any time you remove the converter, you have a chance of putting ink somewhere you don't want it to go... so either clear the area or move somewhere that you don't mind dropping some ink. The snorkel fit every converter that I tried it on. I haven't tried my two japanese pens, sailor and platinum. Both depend on the o-ring. The snorkel has a narrow bore. This means several things. 1) you won't get too much air in your converter 2) you should advance the converter slowly 3) if you have a converter that is hard to advance slowly, don't try to purge the air by tipping it up. I tried twice with a slide converter and it made for a nice squirt gun... Please see above warning about putting ink where you don't want it. Be prepared to wipe, flush, and dry the snorkel when you're done. (or you will put ink where you don't want it) In all, if you don't try to purge the air the way I did, it does a neat job and you get to use almost all of the ink in a large bottle.

No more ink on the nib and grip section trying to fill, I hate it with a passion, now fill everything but the Pilots with this needle, easy to clean too just drop it in a cup of water, give it a rinse in the faucet.

I don’t think I could do this little tool justice in a review alone. If this tool was a person it would be my best friend. I used to make a mess and waste a bunch of ink refilling my ink converter, but now it’s so easy and just (dreamy sigh) painless. I love refilling my pens now. I would absolutely buy this again if I ever needed to.
