A Love Letter to City, Family and Friends
"Sweet" was a great first book by new author Cameron Michaels.I really appreciated the way he wove family and friends, relationships and commitments, and an obvious love for the City of Chicago and it's Lake Michigan waterfront into a story that kept the reader moving. I also blame the author for a lack of sleep, his work causing me to stay up late to see how it would all end (pretty high praise, I think)."Sweet" has a nice balance between the fantasy life many would like to have, and the everyday reality we all face, living busy, full lives.I look forward to the next work by this talented new voice.

Wonderfully romantic debut novel
I really enjoyed this book and found myself becoming more engrossed as the story unfolded. This is a novel that really puts the storyline on center stage, told in a voice that is honest, humorous and poignant. The descriptions of Chicago's lakefront and Lakeview neighborhood pulled me in and made me feel like a part of Jeff and Peter's story--one of passion and hope, with a conclusion that was both dramatic and heartbreaking, yet hopeful and celebratory. This would make a wonderful gift to a true romantic, someone who wants to believe that love is worth it regardless of what it may cost. I look forward to the author's next book!

Whimsical love story
This is the type of story that makes me feel a part of. I could almost imagine being a friend of these guys and experiencing the joy of finding the perfect love, all while not "looking" for it. I didn't want this book to end because of how wrapped up in the main characters lives I became. When will I meet my next set of friends? Bring it on new author!!

Sweet
Sweet is a thoughtful and heart rendering account of love and loss. I read the book from cover to cover and was given hope that I too may be able to find love once again. I loved the writers style and look forward to his next book. This book would make a great gift for anyone who has given up on love or has experienced a loss.

Endearing love story
This book was a true delight to read from the beginning to the last page. I found the characters, Jeffrey and Peter, not only believable but utterly charming, from their chance meeting to the tearful however prolific ending. The Chicago lakefront surprise dinner was inspirational and very romantic. This is the author's first book and I love his writing style and look forward to his next creation!

SWEET !!!
For a first time author I was pleasantly surprised. The story moves right along and makes you wish for a Peter in your life. It also gives you a look at Jeff's chance at loving someone in thier lifetime. I'll be looking for another book from this author.

Sweet, bittersweet, hopeful, and real
Sweet is a pleasure to read. The author holds nothing back in detailing the excitement and elation of beginning a romantic relationship with someone wonderful and new. The story is sincere and endearing, and I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read the author's next book!
