TrueLumen 12000K 3-LED Linking Module, One Female and One Male Connector

Ive owned 5 of these lights. 3 of them have come from Amazon 2 from my local LFS and everytime THEY start out great and end up burning out after a couple months. Ive used them with the appropriate power source and dimmer on low and still over a short period of time they all have failed. Ive used them over a period of years and still same crap quality. I have also used many current led products and not had issues but these are terrible.

I have a 3 gallon Micro Reef Tank and it works perfect at night! It also act like a Night light for my room. No heat at all! Would be great for child room as a nightlight/Reef Tank set up!

This was my second 3-LED Module for a tank approximately 1.4gal. Tank has a glass removable top, so I used clear Scotch 2 inch packing tape to secure them and their wires. One was not giving enough light for plants, so I added # 2 fixed the same way with one front of the other. Better plant growth. Note I have also secured a actinic blue module to the glass top. All are on the rheostat sold separately. Only beef is you must unplug whites, then plug in blue for blue only. I hid wires behind books as best I could, exposed the rheostat near another book. I place a small dark towel on top sort of a tank over that hides the top of the glass with the wires.We have plants, a large beta, who has grown three times as big and an African dwarf frog that has also grown. system been operative about 4 months. Use heater with automatic temp adjustment so tank is 78-82. Also small 3 phase filter that is whisper quiet.

This looked good while it was working. After third night of use it stopped working. Now being that I removed the connector between it and one of the blue ones to shorten the length between the two, as to not have the excess wire and connector(soldered, sealed with heat shrink and above a glass top) I'm sure they wouldn't replace it. So, I might buy another one or maybe replace the LEDs in this one, not sure yet.

This light worked great for a little over a month. The white light is much nicer than the blue moonlights. This burnt out after about a month of daily 3 hour use with the correct power supply unit. So much for leds lasting forever.

Great little light, use it on a ramp timer to simulate a dim moonlight glow in a twenty gallon. For a brighter moonlight you would need to buy two.

Overall I'd say pretty good. I bought 4 of these and linked them together with the Truelumen power supply. After one week, so far so good, if something goes out or dies early, I will update my review. I did not buy this with the dimmer and for moonlights it's a bit bright. So I agree with the other reviews in that the whole kit is a little pricey and messy for what you get. I added these to a 48 inch Aqueon LED fixture and tucked the wires behind/above the LED tubes and you cant tell its been modified. I leave these one 24/7 so that when the main lights go out on my timer, the 12k moonlights are still on.

this light if you want to call it that is dim 12000k yea right .I put it on top of my tank and it doesn't even make the tank brighter.Its only about 2 inches long and 1/2 wide.

Works perfectly as advertised. I received it on time and I am truly happy with it. It is on 24x7, I have placed it high up on the gooseneck that also holds my two primary lights on the tank. I can see the night life clearly while not really disturbing them. I recommend this product.
