Fantastic !
Adventures of Wishing Chair ~ Enid BlytonThe author has always been my favourite as a child and now to inculcate the habit of reading in my son (6years), I decided to introduce this book to him.Not regretting the decision at all. A wonderful classic. Wishing Chair takes you along with the main characters to different adventures filled with magic. The book is simple for a 6 year old to read with assistance. The repetition of difficult words for that age breeds familiarity and therefore improves reading and vocabulary. Total of 26 chapters in this. Some of them are separate stories and some of them are in continuation. Also, it being a series of three books, we are about to start with the second one, which means the project was a success for starting the habit of reading.Gripping and enjoyable for the age.Tip: Shared reading of chapters encourages the young ones to read on their own.Next to come: The wishing chair again.

Great for Night Time Reads
After reading the Faraway Tree series to my 3 year old girl I was on the lookout for something else to read and this came recommended. I purchased this and it went down very well. After putting my little one to bed I typically read a chapter or two until she falls asleep. Chapters are short and easy to follow. There aren't a huge amount of characters to remember and they go on numerous fun adventures. It's a lovely night time read for the little people. Highly recommended.

Great story.
Great story. We have just finished this book, I read it aloud to my 7 year old, with him reading the odd half page. He loved it. It was the first book we read that did not have colourful pictures, but he didn't mind at all, he said he had all the pictures in his head. He cant wait for us to read his next 'big boy' novel. I've already ordered 'The wishing chair again'.

Excellent
Very good stories about short adventures that a sister and brother go through along with the magical wishing chair....my 7.5 year old daughter can read it by herself and she is also learning new words from it as she has to take help from me to understand how they are pronounced as well as what is their meaning so it is also helping her build her vocabulary.

It’s magical feel good book
I like the book as it is magical and has imaginary characters like witches, wizards, pixes and many more. The language is very easy for 9 years old kids. Those who like fairy tales, this is a good choice
