So I bought this in hopes it would ease the pain of doing bigger drywall jobs. I wasn't disappointed. And the price is just right. Compared to a lvl5 brand it's just as good and half the cost

Its light weight, covers large area fast and blends in well. It's basically a straight edge with rounded corners and a comfortable grip. It was kind of expensive but I am not a professional and needed every little advantage I could get.I bought it for myself because I was going to remove/smooth texture on one room. I had planned on doing it myself and got everything ready when I changed my mind. I had hired someone to work on another part of the house and he seen what I was doing, since I had everything there he said his crew could do it that day (not drywall pros). They asked if they could use my blade since it was still in the box I said yea, they finished the whole room in a couple of hours. It blended the bad tape seams/patches that were never sanded well and painted prior to where I could hold a level and it not have that ridge.

I usually buy Marshalltown trowels and tools when I can and this one doesn't disappoint. Flexible blade does a superb job making that final skim coat. It's easy to clean, the blade is replaceable and lightweight enough that you can do final passes with one hand where you need to. Highly recommended.

Good quality product. Well made. Easy to handle. We were able to redo our ceiling very quickly after removing popcorn.

I've never had a skim blade, it was great renovating a house and using a good skim tool. Easy to use, right stiffness, easy to clean--stainless, durable, has a blade protector, comfortable to use for a few hours at a time. Used for 3 rooms to replace ceilings, and every wall to patch and coat over 90 year old plaster. Great price. It was fun enough I could almost un-retire and go into drywall!

If you're doing this by yourself, this is absolutely the most revolutionary and game-changing tool. The only problem I had was getting enough mud on the ceiling fast enough before it started setting up because the skimmer is so wide. So if you have a second person that would be ideal. One or two people putting mud on the ceiling at the same time is the way to go. I also bought the 31-in version but quickly realized that I couldn't get enough mud on the ceiling fast enough for the 31. CAUTION You will need a heavy duty pole for good results. Don't drop it and protect the blade at all costs. Total game changer for sure. Between my living room and my dining room I put 53 gallons of mud on the ceiling getting the low spots out. So if you can get your mud on thick enough you would cut a lot of time and days out of the process, but I was using a texture roller to apply the mud on the ceiling. Conditions were.... I removed stippling by scraping and then from there it was evident why they stippled the ceiling and didn't try to make it a smooth ceiling. Big rooms.. about 28 ft long.

These are not hitchhikers. I bought the “Made in USA” product in hopes that the quality would be there. Although it appears well made, the quality check was bad. During skim coat, the pass had obvious valleys. Despite cleaning the blade, and using thinned, clean mud, the same pattern of defects appears. Upon inspection, the blade had burrs which caused the reoccurring defects. Not something I’d hope from the higher end skim blade. I’m disappointed.Running emery cloth over the blade seemed to help significantly. If purchasing, check your blade before wasting a day.

Makes quick work of plastering with a really good finish. Easy to fan out taped butt joints that quickly disappear and ideal for skim coating, too! Up the quality of your work and save a ton of time and money, too!
