This is a beautiful set of steak knives, on a par with any great steakhouse cutlery. The wooden handles are very comfortable. In addition the customer service at SDL sales is excellent. I would recommend this set highly.

Not as advertised.

I bought this knife set to include in a large gift bag of goodies for my son's very first apartment.  He needed just about everything, so I helped where I could.  I selected this particular knife set because it complimented some other items I'd purchased. The blades are made of very high quality stainless steel. They're as good (or possibly better) than many knives used at local steakhouses.  All are serrated and crisply sharp.  The blades are so smooth and so perfectly polished that you can see even the slightest fingerprint. This way you absolutely know when your knife isn't perfectly clean. The handles are made of dark colored pressure treated wood. Each handle is riveted to the blade itself. This means the handle will never break off. You can cut your food without the fear of the knife breaking and you possibly being harmed. If you were of a mind to give this set as a gift you'll be glad to know that they came in a very attractively designed gift box. Each knife was nested perfectly. It displayed nicely. In the interest of being perfectly forthcoming I do have to day that I was given a coupon code which allowed me to get this set at somewhat of a discount so I could write a review after physically testing it out.

Excellent feel handling strong meat cutting product. I got these for my meat eating boyfriend who comment I didn't have any steak knives, he describes them as "manly ".

My family has always used cheaper or second-hand steak knives, so when I was offered to review these I jumped on it. The knives come in a beautiful magnet closed box that is fitted with a foam insert that helps the knives rest separately. The serrated edge cuts steak and other meats perfectly with very little work needed on the behalf of the user. The handles are heavy and crafted with a beautiful dark wood, although none of these are exactly the same. There are three rivets ensuring a firm grip on the tang.This is where my problem starts - and stops - the tang does not run the entire length of the handle, but instead stops halfway down the handle. This causes more of a wiggle in the blade and a greater risk of the blade breaking. But upon wiggling the blade it doesn't seem like it would break anytime soon, but this is something to keep in mind for a future concern.I received' this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
