How wide wide does the clamp expand? I want to to put it on a 6cm wide area.

The clamp will only expand to 3cm, I tested it out on a number of items in my home office, and the thickness of 3 CD cases was really as much as it would deal with.

Is this better than the Benq light bar?

I had looked and reviewed both (long and hard) the Benq Light bar and the Xiaomi MI-BHR4838GL Motion Monitor Light Bar at that time only 3 months ago the Benq looked like the best around but was over £100, however I did like the idea of the wireless controller on the Xiaomi Motion Light Bar so took the plunge at less than half the price went for it (Xiaomi Motion Monitor Light Bar that is). I must say it's brilliant. The monitor I have has a port USB-C so I can power it from the it . The best thing is you can place the wireless (puck like) controller can anywhere in your desk and all you do it press down and the light comes on, rotate it and you control the amount of light intensity. So simple just love the ease of use. Happy to answer any more questions , found it really good value.

Can you adjust the warmth or just the brightness ?

There are 2 light colors - white and yellow. The yellow is the warmer color. U can adjust brightness of both
