Works well with my non-Ikan branded gimbal
I purchased this to use with a different brand gimbal but was very happy with how it's made. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to hold, lightweight, and durable. I was able to attach a quick-release base to the handlebars and a plate to my gimbal so I can quickly and easily attach and detach it from the handlebars. Setup time is a fraction of what it was when I used a Ronin-like gimbal before. The only area for improvement that I would suggest is a way for this to collapse flat somehow so that it's easier to travel with. Due to its shape, it's a bit awkward unless you do what I did which was construct a custom pelican case for my gimbal that makes room for this inside as well. You could, of course, disassemble and reassemble it each time but that would be somewhat impractical as it requires an alan wrench and it's not a quick process. Maybe for extended travel that's a realistic solution, but not everyday use.Not that it matters, but the handlebars didn't match the picture - they're more black with only a little yellow on them. Just FYI.

Great concept, flawed implementation
I got this on which to mount a Beholder DS1 stabilizer. The DS1 mounts fine. The grip is actually a good add for the DS1 because it makes the DS1 much easier to hold and carry. The two metal feet allow the entire assembly to rest securely on any flat surface.I docked two stars because of a machining flaw in one of the handle grips. The hole for the mounting screw was not cut or tapped deep enough. The mounting screw bottoms out before the handle grip is tight. I fixed it by using two small washers to fill the gap. This thing is really overpriced at $75 - there's not much to it. There's no excuse for an incorrectly machined grip handle. I also considered getting the Beholder DS2 grip handle. But at $110, the Ikan was simpler and less expensive.I would have given the Ikan 5 stars if not for the grip issue.

works great, wish it was cheaper
Put this on my ronin s since they do no have a dual grip for it yet. It works really well and i really like the tripod mounts on the bottom. I thought it was a little expensive due to how simply it is made, but for the market its in, the price is fair compared to other ones.

It had it's flaws, but it still functioned
I had an EC1 for a while, and having a grip like this is highly recommended, especially if you are putting heavier cameras on the gimbal, but no matter how firmly I screwed the bolt down, the grip would twist a bit, especially when the gimbal needed to put the heavy torque on the yaw motor. Everything still worked fine, but the engineering is a bit poor on all the Ikan products. Plus, charging $80 for this is outrageous, it's a piece of metal with 2 rubber grips on it. I could probably get one custom machined for half that price.

I just do not recommend IKAN products somehow
Kind of cheap build. Still solid but if tighten too much it is tough to unmount and if not tighten enough the thing is shaky and I would be scared it unmounts by itself. only 3 stars, but hey... it does the job so far. I just do not recommend IKAN products somehow.
