I just received these today and will be returning them. I have been trying to find a pair of earphones with superb bass, volume control, a mic, and play/pause/forward and backwards AND I want them cheap because I only need them for exercising. I thought these were the ones. I read the reviews but I should have caught a clue from the misspelled words when the vendor indicated the earphones had “Supper Bass” (a great meal) instead of “Super Bass” (a great sound). I am NOT an audiophile snob. In fact, I usually don’t even pay any attention to the sound as long as I can hear the words. However, I had purchased a cheap pair of phones to use temporarily and they actually have better sound (and bass) than these that even my lazy ears can tell the difference noticeably. Unfortunately, although my cheap pair has better sound/bass it doesn’t have the remote control function that I want. Following are the pros and cons:PROS:• So very pretty! I chose rose gold and these earphones are unique and look really nice when you’re wearing them!• I have Amazon Prime so the item arrived very quickly (within 2 days)• The price was reasonable ($10.99)• The earphones had all the functionality that I was looking for EXCEPT FOR THE BASSCONS• The earphones did NOT accentuate or enhance the music listening experience. I suspect this is because of the size of the drivers which were 8mm. I got this info from the box that the earphones came in but I could have made a more informed decision if the vendor had stated the specs or shown a picture of the box with the specs on it. For example, my cheap temporary earphones had 10mm drivers so I just assumed since the Aikon earphones alluded to “Super Bass” that’s what I was getting. The driver is important because apparently it serves as a miniature loudspeaker in each earpiece that converts the electrical power to sound. Supposedly, the larger the "mm size" of the driver units the better the sound/bass. I’m not an expert so I’m just basing this on my research (THIS IS A GREAT ARTICLE: [...]).• These earphones only provided one size of speaker covers that do not fit all (most are now providing three: small, medium and large because everybody doesn’t have the same size ear)• The cord stays slightly curled.

The Rose Gold Earbuds with Microphone and Volume Control by Aikonsound are equipped with a right and left ear for maximum comfort. They are wired in-ear headphones and while they are lightweight, did not find them exceptional for different reasons..I am not a fan of the cord, preferring solid black or white, and they tend to curl up. Also the ear buds tend to keep falling out. Another major problem: The controls. When you are holding the control (slider), you have to be careful, as under it on the opposite side, you will turn off. This has happened to me so many times, I quit using this function.It does work with ipod, and my other devices. Recommend if you are looking for inexpensive set for your kids; however, for walking or jogging or moving about, they fall out. Plus, not able to use the control buttons with the way they designed. Poor design. Accidental shut off occurs often. However, the concept is good, if it worked properly.I use many sets of earbuds --have an audiobook plugged all the time (a book blogger), and am pretty picky about my earbuds. For me, this set is not durable, sturdy, or functional. The sound is just OK, not the best. I look for comfort, ease of use, sound, and overall function. Ugh, I it is so hard to find headphones ...well ear phones that are worth what you pay for themThese are no exception.It's great that they are lightweight...that's a plus...and pretty much the only plus about these.The sound quality is much to be desired...it's static at times...sounds distant rather than clear and crisp.The controls are horrid. It's way too easy to hit other controls while using the slider.The cords curl up and that drives me bonkers and no matter how hard I tried I never could get a comfy fit in the ear with theseI can get a better quality headphone at my local dollar store for a buckI received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
