Fab low FODMAP garlic!
If you're on a low FODMAP diet, this is the garlic for you! Very strong garlic flavor, it only takes a small amount. It is a bit expensive in my opinion, but it is SO worth it if you've been cutting out garlic and really miss it! Works great, dissolves well, and tastes amazing!

Tastes and smells like real garlic!
I get stomach cramps if I even SMELL garlic and if I eat it? Forget it..... I've been this way my entire life but as an adult it's gotten really old considering garlic is in so many recipes. I decided to give this a try and initially was very skeptical considering it smells exactly like garlic. I've used it in my recipes a bunch of times now and zero stomach issues! This stuff makes cooking SO much easier. Normally if I had to make something that called for garlic I'd just leave it out which made my food pretty bland so now my recipes turn out better too. The only negative is how much it costs. The bag is pretty small. Another side note is that it's taking time for me to figure out how much of this stuff to use as I've overshot the mark a few times....but with that said and for the big pricetag it's better that a little goes a long way as far as flavoring. Very happy I found this stuff!

3.5 Stars for this Garlic Replacer that's Low Fodmap Friendly
Purchased months back and have been able to add a garlic flavor back into my diet for the first time in years. Some thoughts on the use of this flavoring product:KUDOS: has that sharp flavor of raw garlic and does a good job of imparting that flavor in most anything. You don't need a ton to get that flavor. A little goes a long way. For those of us who have gastric issues with onions and garlic, it's great to have this option to add that flavor that many of us have missed out on because of the distress it causes when we eat the real thing.COMPLAINTS: you know that wonderful flavor you get when fresh garlic cooks down into this delightful, slightly sweet flavor sensation? Well, you won't get that from this product. It retains that sharp raw garlic flavor. What I've done to work around that is use much less of this flavor and add a bit of something sweet to whatever I'm cooking and it pretty closely approximates that flavor so I'm not entirely dissatisfied. This product is very expensive when you consider the size of the container your getting. Refer to kudos above in that I'm not using as much as I might otherwise so it will last.Overall, I was pleased enough that I went ahead and bought their onion flavored seasoning.

Stuff works great, but not for people with IC.
I was diagnosed with IBS and IC a few years ago and I've been trying to find substitutions for onion that didn't taste awful. This stuff was perfect and tasted great but unfortunately it affected my IC.This is no fault to the product itself as it was delicious and a great substitute, just not for me.

Upset stomach
I have a fructan allergy, and thus can not have garlic. I got this in hopes of replacing said ingredient, however in every dish I cooked, if I used more than a dash both mine and my husbands (who does not have any food sensitivities) stomach will be so upset and get horrible garlic tasting heartburn. As long as I use a very small amount it does a decent job of replicating the taste, but I've definitely had better alternatives.

So far so good.....
Pouch arrived intact. Upon opening, the smell of garlic was prominent.....My first use was very good. I sprinkled about 1/4th teaspoon on my backed potato and enjoyed it very much. I have been off fresh onions and garlic for about 4 months now and really miss garlic the most. I think this will be a great "spice" to add to my foods.....I am now cooking pinto beans with a leftover turkey leg in my slow cooker and hoping it will enhance the flavor of the beans. I added 1 teaspoon to about 1/2 pound of dry beans. I will let y'all know how the beans with the FreeFOD garlic Replacer turns out.

Unsafe at any Dose
I have been diagnosed with IBS-Mixed for over two years, but have suffered with symptoms going back to childhood. I'm in my mid-30s. I ditched garlic and onion years ago because I had too many instances of intense intestinal bloating and cramping along with diarrhea. After years of being off garlic, I thought I would try to safely reintroduce it. I thought this product might be the ticket. Boy, was I wrong!!!I tried this product once, mixed with plain tomato sauce in a batch of spaghetti. I doubt I used more than a 1/4 of a TEASPOON OF IT! The flavor and smell was overpowering every time I opened the pouch.Overall, it tasted alright, but the following day the trouble started...This stuff caused the most intense intestinal cramping I've experienced in YEARS!!! My guts went berserk trying to get rid of this stuff. It went on for two hours and forced me to call in sick to work the day after eating it! I threw the pouch in the garbage that day and will NEVER try a product like this again. It's too risky unless your gut symptoms are mild. The main ingredient is garlic oil, which for those of us with oil/fat as a trigger food is a total NO-GO!
