For those that are serious
This book is excellent! Somnus is very knowledgeable of Magick and its workings. It is not my plan to join the cabal but that doesn't detract from the lessons there in.Update 9/16/18I have read this book a couple of time because even though the author is to the point without any fluff you will still gain more insights then the previous reads. The work and Magicks are solid! Everyone in the occult will tell you to become Magick, live a magickal life, well with they whispers (words of power by others) you can work and practice Magick throughout your day.I cannot recommend Somnus's book enough to you.8/8/19Almost everyday I read from one of the Maergzjiran books and find myself amazed. These books my be small/short compared to everything else out there but they are infinitely larger than everything I have read.I don't care if I have read it 100 times, I always find something that blows my mind away.

A must have!
This book contains alotof information! It is a great read, and a wonderful diagram for the left hand path. Just by reading this you can tell that Somnus is well educated, and full of knowledge. From making deals with demons, to traditional spells, this book is sure to please.

Original and compellingly handy
When I first heard about the Cabal, I was quick to dismiss them as a cult founded on a complete misunderstanding of the occult. After reading and working with this book, however, my doubts have dissipated. The description of the book as sharing Somnus Dreadwood's personal philosophies honestly made me hesitate, but for the most part these concepts are just another approach to Left-Hand Path Philosophy and are quite welcome in my library.I was also quite surprised by the amount of useful magickal knowledge and workmanship in this book, complete with spells, chants, sigils, and mythology as well as new approaches to magick that are refreshing refinements of other systems. I was shocked by how much was treated as inconsequential that was, personally, paramount to my craft. The names entities reveal themselves by, and the ways they show up in society beforehand, does not always guarantee how "real" they are. Apparently, many of the names used for entities in this book are from contemporary fantasy fiction, but I don't think that is necessarily meaningful. The original entities that revealed themselves to HP Lovecraft in his dreams are no less real because of their amorphic names or the fictional expansions of the pantheon that came later. We don't deny the Devil because he was first seen in the Bible, and many of us are willing to accept the idea he is much older. These entities do not feel egregoric. Now for my complaints. This book has the occasional typo or grammatical error, and sometimes it distracts from the main point of a passage. This is less of a problem than the author's style that can come across as excessively preachy and cultish. There are a handful of paragraphs scattered through the book that sound like the propaganda of a dictatorial call-to-action, and that's somewhat concerning. The author does dip into surface-level politics, and now and then this seems to go a bit beyond just the application of LHP social theory. For me, this doesn't detract from the overall handiness of the work, but it definitely cost it a star. The knowledge and wisdom of the material makes up for these drawbacks many times, in my opinion.

Great insights to a credible left hand magick practitioner
Somnus Dreadwood takes you into very dark deep waters. Not for those wishing to stay on the lighter side of magick and spiritualism

Publisher is a ripoff....Beware
Be forewarned: This publisher/author is self-published, and often advertises advanced publications at special pre-pub prices. I'm still awaiting word of when they will be published, and that was almost a year ago. Total rip-off. The works are imaginative but mundane, and as mentioned, how magical can the author be if his little demon-pixies cannot inspire him to write what is promised. Never, ever buy anything from this source, as your money will be ripped off. If you still believe in magic, go elsewhere, this is simply hookey-spooky hogwash. Buyer beware.
