Used for my son's first bath at home I initially bought it as an insert for a fisher price tub that I lost the sling to but you can use it on your counter or in the sink it gives baby just the right amount of head support and softness have not washed it yet but I assume some of the little foam balls that it's filled with will come out of the mesh when washed seeing as shaking it or squishing it makes them pop thru the mesh aside from that im pleased with the product over all
